Ukrainian people are the best. We had a family displaced from their country move into our building here in London for a few months and I've lived here for 12 years and in that few months we spoke more with them than any other neighbours in the building. They are such hospitable people. The family in this video is the Epitome of that

In Kharkiv there are sirens sometimes for over 24 hours straight, most people here aren't even listening for sirens anymore. There are also times when you hear explosions before any sirens. So relatively speaking, that family's situation is not even a tip of an iceberg.
@pinkeypromises

@@TheMarksman0415no. It’s the Russian government that pushes the thought that people can’t do anything and there’s no hope. This is how russians keep themselves enslaved and why they bring this slavery to others. And the fundamental difference and the reason they failed and will fail more, is that Ukrainians do NOT believe that „nobody can do anything“, and these people refuse to become part of this hopeless hole of violence where everyone is a victim and therefore legalises violence for themselves. F that.

It's pretty calm in western regions, comparing to Frontline cities like Mykolayiv, Kherson, Zaporizhya, Kharkiv. Some cities are so close to Frontline, not only drones and missiles, but also artillery and multiple launch rocket systems striking every day. Ligth mavic drones flying over and dropping bombs on civilians trying to get to grocery in Kherson. Anyways, this is all nothing compared to possibility to be captured and occupied by russians. If you saw how already captured cities looks like, you will agree. This is constant fear to become a part of russian federation.

It's nice to see, but... The question is a marker (for me). Do you think that IF (and, I hope, *when*) Putin's Russia falls, then the Russian Federation will have to pay reparations to Ukraine like Germany has been doing for the last 60 years? I am for peace throughout the world and for friendship between peoples, and for everything good.. But.. Fuck! I lost my home, business in my native Donetsk back in 2014! Relatives and friends remained there... Part of my life! Thank God, none of my loved ones died, probably because I can reason +/- adequately. I'm not saying that all Russians are enemies. But, I have seen more than once how, when asked a similar question, "other Russians" became embarrassed and tried to evade. After all, under the layer of "we are against Putin" they are still the same pro-imperial invaders.So tell me, who are you?

Actually i asume that when he started crying, the ukrainian man thought (do not forget they reach nearly 3 years of war) that this guys was maybe a Legionaire (international legion) or lost a friend in that war - because many people from many different countries fight for ukraine. He (the ukrainian) did not expect that someone would cry over people that the guy never met. But i think the - that the ukrainian guy thought for a moment that this guy (who was crying) is a veteran from the Ukrainian Legion with PTSD whatever you never know. Just look how soft he ask - why is he crying SUPER BAFFLED - but when the other guy simply responded, well yes- he just has empathy - the Ukrainian was like ............ ah ok (we are used to that and do not cry). The Ukrainian thought that the guy lost someone or himself - dont forget that the ukrainians are well aware that a lot from Canada and Autralia right now fight for Ukraine - SO IN SHORT Ukrainian guy thought - that crying guy - was a soldier in ukraine

People get used to war. Soldiers that spend years on it are an even wilder example, not seeing ever again yet another comrade after yet another shelling becomes a norm. And it’s not even the worst war in terms of time an average soldier spends on the frontline. I mean, Hitler was a veteran, he fought, he got badly injured, lost comrades, but we both know that this absolutely did not make him think like war is something that has to be avoided at all costs, quite the opposite.

I have to disagree, these men were not brave to go into Ukraine, listening to them I could hear they had no idea how serious the situation was. They were miles away from where the real fighting is, they had been travelling around and hadn't seen much of what was happening. What they did do was to give these people a bit of respite from thinking about the war.

She didn't speak any English, but while she was there her brother was killed in the war. It was very sad and she sobbed on my shoulder. She ended up moving to another state where there was a community of refugees. Last I heard she was doing well there. God bless and protect those precious and amazing people!

Thank you for raising awareness about russian military aggression against Ukraine. It's 2025 and it's still ongoing, russian air raids are every single day, even on Christmas. Russians even decorated the iranian Shakhed self destructing drones as Christmas trees. That's mental. Where I live tornadoes are a yearly occurrence and I have thankfully have never even seen one despite the sirens and aftermath around me. As a Ukrainian, I'm thankful that you showed life in Ukraine, and at least briefly covered this topic. But at the same time I'm a bit disappointed that you went into russia before to show their positive sides, the humanization of the aggressor, occupants, and terrorist country is not the best thing that you can do in this situation. I'm sad that you haven't made any conclusions on that, hope you better understand the situation now, after traveling in Ukraine and being under missile strikes, and seeing how much pain and suffering the russians causing to us. It's not just putins war, there is a majority in there who is supporting this invasion and occupation of our territories, and in such videos is very important to have a clear and understandable message for people. And in this case, the message would be - "Help Ukrainians, to protect their country, freedom, and democracy in general. Provide them with weapons, support, and anything they need, because if they lose, the next countries will be in Europe. And this war is not only about russia and Ukraine anymore, it's also about North Korea, Iran, Siria, and China, and these dictatorships are unated, and democracies are not. Now it's about democracy against dictatorship, so you need to choose on which side you are because russia and other dictatorships waging a hybrid war against the world, and your country can be next".
