Guys I've searched all over youtube and I just can't find any videos that can help me, so I've decided to ask here because I really like this channel and its community (: Anyways, I'm pretty new to Ark and after I get metal tools and a crossbow and some basic tames, I really can't seem to find stuff to progress on, the level progression is really slow after around level 40 so I can't craft anything else, can someone help me pleaase? (Maybe some cool base locations on the island too because I'm still based on the beach) Thx!

I have a couple questions before I try to give advice. 1. What tames do you have? That would give a pretty good direction of what to say. 2. What are your rates? (Xp gain, harvest rate, tame speeds, etc.) Sometimes turning them up makes the game so much more fun.

@@flaminsky7537 I have a trike, a moschops and a stego, all around level 40. I kind of have a barionyx and a pt too, but I lost them in the redwoods and can't get them back anymore lmao. My rates are the vanilla ones, I thought it would make the game too easy if I increased them.

@@marcotuliofernandessilveir3843 If the game feels too sluggish or slpw, I would definitely recommend increasing the rates, find some you like. I would also say maybe try to tame a carnivore. (Probably make a small raptor pack). If you're high enough level for the saddle, a sabertooth could be good as well, they do live in more dangerous parts of the map though.

Set rates for 2 or 3x. That's the "vanilla" rates for smaller groups. Above 10x everything almost feels free. I suggest you focus on leveling up. Kill alpha dinos. Find the notes on the island, etc.

Tame Low lvl pt Go Look for high lvl one then. After that Go to redwoods bur only to the mountain in the middle fly high above the trees and tame argentavis, After that the Game should be way easier

@fheral just use the shovel on the tree, it takes a lil practice to get it right. The only thing diff on my server is the tame rate and harvest. Oasis eats like official

i think the main reason its not that popular is one its easy to see and kill second feeding it sucks and third its slow i do love there concept tho i would love to see a improved moded version since it gives pvers there own floating private islands without land blocking. For food use the pots on the big tree looking things those are worth the most food.

FYI oasisaur's are immune to lightning/fire wyvern blasts so you can defend it to tame it by just spamming that ontop

I don’t know about pc but on series x you have to be really close to oasisaur before it will render. Might help you survive longer.
