Poor, poor soul. It is miraculous she survived. I really hope that she had the right support and councelling after this horrific ordeal.

She had a really lucky escape, she’s so brave. I totally get her reluctance to come forward. Now I need to find the documentary she was in.

There was a brilliant BBC one quite recently, focussing on the women and attitudes towards women. I think it might have been called something like "somebody's daughter".

Attacked with a hammer.... Jesus that is terrifying. I'm glad she's here today, but so sad many women aren't because of that monster

Honestly, these stories are sad to see but also inspiring considering that these people are alive to tell their stories.

So glad she’s ok. The lack of support and follow up must have been so, so awful, they absolutely failed her and his other victims. It’s horrific to carry something like that alone and to be made to feel ashamed of something that was done to you. So brave to overcome that and thrive.

After watching a bunch of these stories, if I ever hear myself say, "oh, I'll be fine!" I'm gonna stop and double check and make sure that I'm actually going to be "fine." It's literally "famous last words."

It’s incredible that she survived. I dread to think of the likely outcome if those people hadn’t started walking towards her.

My aunt who is now 71 used to live in Yorkshire many years ago & she spoke to Peter Sutcliffe a number of times when he walked his dog around the back of her garden. Once he was caught she obviously realised who he was.

She’s blessed to be alive after that maniac attacked her. But after seeing his picture on TV as being apprehended, I would have thought she would have wanted him to pay also for the crime of attacking her. More years should have been added to his sentence if she had come forth.

That's a pretty disgusting comment. Obviously, you don't even know who Peter Sutcliffe, a.k.a. The Yorkshire Ripper, was. This woman was VERY lucky to get away from that murderous monster.
