When I first played WoW , swimming around the world and running around was all I did. As a low level troll hunter I made it my goal to reach Stormwind on foot. It took me hours, I was killed a couple dozen times, but I made it and it is one of my best memories.

4:00 - Faldirs cove is accessible through a cave tunnel around the side/back of Stromgarde and has a quest chain to do with the naga in the reef. BYO underwater breathing potions for this quest chain. In retail, the quests were updated to bestow swim speed + underwater breathing in the area. Areas with large amounts of locked chests are often set up in leveling areas for rogues to level their lockpicking. Ghostlands for example has this in the Amani Catacombs.

A really cool place you should check out is the unfinished areas between Tanaris and AQ20. I've swam around the continents and explored as many places as I could (mostly in classic vanilla/era), and this area is definitely my favorite by far, and it's also probably the least known, outside of some people using a small part of it for summoning alts during Phase 5 of vanilla. There are multiple ways to get into this area, but I prefer this method by far (I have screenshots if needed). Epic ground mount recommended as well as slow fall of any kind (Noggenfogger, mage, etc.). Any class with far sight abilities (hunter's eagle eye, shamans' far sight, lock's eye of killrogg) makes it even better: 1. In Tanaris, go to Lands End Beach, which is the south eastern most beach where the pirate chest quest ends (it's also where you launch out of to go that to that island) 2. Swim west until you see a mountain that's not too steep to traverse, and go up it 3. You'll end up in a vast stretch of land that goes all the way from Tanaris through southern Un'Goro Crater. Follow it west towards Silithus until you get near the end 4. From here, I usually go 1 of 2 routes: Route #1: Jump down off the first tall ledge you come across towards small jagged wall that runs north/south (it's very iconic, you can't miss it). There's a sliver of mountain you can jump into if you have slow fall + epic ground mount. You're probably in Silithus at this point, technically speaking. From here, you can explore until you finally arrive at a grey, elevated, mirror-like surface that looks unlike anything else in the game; if you jump below it, you'll obviously disconnect, just like anywhere else in the game where you can fall into nothing. But if you go to the left of it, you can use slow fall and jump off a rock and land on it to walk around. Route #2: Instead of going down the ledge mentioned in route #1, go to the left up a few hills and down them. There's a lot to explore here. You can go through the mountains and eventually you'll arrive behind AQ20. To the right is a small field with very wild-looking eggs (the same that you see during an AQ20 boss fight, I believe). To the left are some sandfalls (waterfall but with sand). You can get up some mountains and go down in a massive trench.

2:29 As someone who levelled as a Shaman back in the day, this was always my favourite spot to come back to, even long after completing the required shaman quest that brings you to that spot in the first place. It was untouched after several expansions and felt like one of the few constants that remained after all these years, plus it was weirdly peaceful despite being in such a creepy area.

That small island in Westfall with the boxes is part of a quest that drops from the murlocs at the first Westfall beach that you saw. They'll drop a treasure map that takes you through most of Westfall, ending up on that island with some loot in the chest that you opened. You also skipped/missed the ghost captain at the lighthouse. That same captain can be found, alive and well, in the Old Hillsbrad Foothills (also known as Escape from Durnholde Keep, the Caverns of Time dungeon) in the village of SouthShore. It's also where you meet an old "friend", Kel'Thuzad, talking with his friend Helcular (who you resurrect as horde player, IIRC).

Maybe someone already elaborated on it, but at 2:30, the shamanistic ritual stone is from the classic series of quests (Call of Water like you mentioned) where the shaman had to attain its totems before being able to use them. They made you go far and wide for them. And back then without sophisticated tracking so trying to read online and understand where things were was a quest on its own.

The locked chest in westfall that @jediwarlock found at 6:40 is part of a questline involving a treasure map. Some of strangest and most fun classic wow questlines result from having to pick apart random clues to find rewards, that chest is just the end of a decently long chain!

Hail and well met. I have awaited part 2 of this series since watching part one. I enjoyed it. Was really surprised that someone besides myself has went and swam this. lol A quick tip before going on. You may want to use a druid for further swims, they are fast in the water, can breath under water, and has ways of getting away from mobs. ;) With Falder's Cove, there is a cave between the cove and Stromguard that can get you there on land. "mostly" It is true about Newman's landing, and also there used to be 3 "I think" NPC's there. One was a vendor that had some rare "Schematics" for certain professions. I am sorry I do not remember what they were. It was a long time ago. At 6:47 the small island that you were on, is a place that a quest line ends and you get to loot that chest. If I remember correctly,, It is how you get a shield that looks like the steering wheel to a ship. But again, it has been awhile. ;) With the apple orchard, you used to be able to pick the apples and eat them, there was a lady up there as well, with a dog and a dog house. I do not know if they are still up there or not. The vile reef used to have quests that took you down there. I do not know if the quests are still there today, but I do remember doing it. After the vile reef, there also used to be a make shift road that lead from the beach out into the water, I was surprised you missed it, then maybe it has been removed. Also before you got back to Booty Bay there is a small cove that has places to "dive" from near a small bridge by the Nagas. We use to kinda role play there as a water park type thing. lol Over all I enjoyed you video very much! I may have to take make druid back over there to reexplore it ! Thank you for bringing back so many memories !

5:22 One of the greatest spots I went to when playing with friends Always enjoyed these secluded places, I'm glad you're doing this, I'm glad I can reminisce of all these old memories Thank you once more, I will be watching this series each episode hopefully 7:08 Also a great spot in my mind, no one really went there much and fished nearby most the time - that and I was exploring the region of booty bay or so

I just found out about you yesterday and saw part 1. When I found out you had a series about the geology of Azeroth I was so suprised. I am a geology student and in nearly every game I play I always analyze it a bit as well. Happy to see I am not the only one! ^^ Great videos, great narration! This is so much effort for video and you deserve all your new subscribers!

Nice one! Can we hope for a Kalimdor exploration video too?

Yes you can! Definitely on the itinerary for the near future (before end of the year)!

I think you doubled your count because you came up with a simple, but awesome video concept. You gave a good narration, the video didn't last too long for people to simply rock out half way and I bet the previous one got a bunch of full views. Subbed :)

Great 2nd part! As for the Vile Reef, if you quest in STV, it gets explained through a few quest texts that it used to be a Troll city that got submerged awhile back, hence the structures and roads you can see.
@Jediwarlock2 жыл бұрын
That does make sense... very cool that the roads and structures are now very overgrown with reef material and algae! Thank you for the comment! :)

The Trolls fucked around with a water elemental (IIRC) and found out. That story is told by those large slabs of text, which you collect for a quest (at least as alliance).

I did this to an extent in classic looking for a way into the badlands when playing horde side for the first time, ever. Since I had no idea you could go through the mountains of wetlands, to get to loch modan, and then go through badlands, I decided to swim from menethil habour all the way down to westfall. It was pretty mundane, a lot of repeating mountain regions, except for the really weird house and dock near stormwind. Thanks for the explanation cause I had absolutely no idea what the point of this area was.

Haha, I think we've all had one of those disastrous swimming trips that end up not being productive, but can still be very memorable :)

even though this was released less than a day ago, it has a real nostalgic feel of when WoW was so massive and unknown. No question you get a sub from me I look forward to the rest of your content

This brings me back to the world discovery I did back in Classic (and in Vanilla) and how the game was about adventure, going about and discovering new places. Keep up the great work!

I think there might be some things to see in outland when you fly around, notably the ship wreck stuck floating in space in between netherstorm and hellfire peninsula.

Great video again. Maybe You will find this useful. But on the current Woltk ptr build there is no water in the Draenei and blood elf leveling zones, so you are able to run on the ocean floor, and there no fatigue either
@Jediwarlock2 жыл бұрын
Fascinating! I do not/have not played on the PTR servers, but that sure could open up some fun possibilities! ;)

Faldirs cove is accessible via a cave. Yes, you need to cross a bit of water anyway, but there’s a clear path. So it’s not all that hidden.
@Jediwarlock2 жыл бұрын
I'll have to look into that! Thank you for the comment. :)
