For four minutes and twenty seconds, there was no country or R&B, no black or white, no one generation or another.... there was only music, and it was beautiful! We shall all take lesson here.

My Dad used to sing to me as a child whenever I had a nightmare, was sick, or just sad. When I was 20, I moved back home after a failed short marriage. My Dad held me as I cried and sang this song to me. I lost him in November. I miss him so much. I cried, happy but bitter, sweet tears listening to it. Thank you for a beautiful version!!!

@@TreyMessiah95 I'd not go that far. American music is mixed with both European and African origins, at most. American music is very unique and you hear nothing like it in Africa, this it's not "black" origin. And slaves in the US did not have freedom nor training enough to come up with complex orchestrated music. It was mainly European Americans who made it because of classical music (orchestra) which is very complex and diverse. That is originally from Europe. Look up Beethoven, Bach, and many other classical composers.

Sept 18, 1994, my husband and I married to this song.🎵 Fast forward 30 years....we celebrate our best lives together ❤️ Who knew that every. single. part of this song has come to fruition. We live in the "dream that he built with his two hands." "We hung memories on these walls". We STILL love eachother "with every piece of our hearts".❤ I will NEVER wish for any more than what I have, in love!!!❤ This all, to shout out a HUGE THANK YOU, to All-4-One and John Michael Montgomery. For without this beautiful and meaningful song, we would still be searching for "OUR" song!!!❤ Love this rendition because we heard and knew the song by All-4-One but couldn't find it on album, at the time, so we found John Michael Montgomery's, and had that played at our wedding. You all "marrying" your tunes couldn't be more perfect. ❤ THANK YOU, WITH SOO MUCH LOVE AND APPRECIATION!!❤

@@wayneedward7391 John Michael Montgomery lost a lot of his vocal functions and lip synced this song and a few others in concerts for the past 8-9 years. He only recently got a surgery done that appeared to greatly improve his vocal range and strength. This song no doubt is just him lip-syncing. Don't believe me? What's more beautiful here is that the pitch of one artist's uses the other one's in their original. In the first part, All-4-One uses Montgomery's pitch from the original. In the final part, Montgomery goes to All-4-One's pitch from their version. Goosebumps.

Either they are very good friends or the record label at the time wanted a diverse group and just added two back up singers. Then pretended they were part of the group. I only know like 5 songs from all-4-one and only the two black dudes sing solos. Boyz II Men Sean and Waynas are the big voices but the other 2(Now 1) still get their time to shine. I have no idea what the other two guys form all-4-one voices sound like.

I love the 90’s RMB not the stuff on the radio now. I grew up listening to them singing the songs. Along with Boys II Men New Edition. Heck I even know the original song that Puff Daddy used for Missing You in Memory of Natorious BIG. Many people probably don’t know why Sting was singing just not the same lyrics.

Chills and tears... I just stumbled upon this song from the soundtrack of my youth, only to hear the artists of both versions I loved singing together. Such beauty seeing them later in life, singing of how, as time passes "their love won't age at all"... let alone hearing a southern white man singing together with black men in such brotherhood. Such powerful feels
