I have a patient and I remember him telling me that every year, especially as he gets older, he is more in love with his wife than before because, you never know how much time is left with them in this life. He was about 82 yrs old when he told me that and unfortunately his wife passed away a year after telling me that from COPD. My wife and I have been married 49 years as of last March. Though she was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes some 30 years ago, she has religiously maintained a proper diet and rigorous exercise. Nevertheless she had a heart attack in April 2020 and a stroke this latest March 29th. She’s recovering from the stroke though she has lost much of her sight and can no longer drive.
