You've just made Tytos one of my new favourites and almost on par with Wyman - even though previously the only thing I knew about him was that he is from one of the two feuding houses. Also, I love that you just started calling them "Singers." It is in fact a better name
@JoeMagician2 жыл бұрын
I think that'll pay off for you. Very much parallel characters, only difference is that we saw Wyman from Davos' perspective so he got to explain himself. Tytos was dealing with Jaime, very good chance there's a similar north remembers coming speech from lord Blackwood.

@@JoeMagician I very much hope so. Poor guy is in the background in the books. I also want to see some "black ops" operations with him and the Blackfish

Also I’m not sure about the Hoster Blackwood and Brandon Stark (neds son) parallel, bran was a very active kid and aspired to be a kingsgaurd which would involve violence and a marshal lifestyle, he dreamed of being a knight, and I don’t remember what his reaction was in the books but in show when learning heraldry he was very annoyed lol

Ok, about names and connections, Tytos. That for some reason foes not sound like a Riverlands or Northern name. The only other Tytos that we know of is Lannister, Tywin's father, who's mother was Rohanne Webber. Is she in any way connected to Blackwoods? Beside knowing Dunk and Egg

Edmure never blundered. Robb was an idiot for not giving his 4th/5th in command and basically leader of the crucial wing of this operation clear orders. "Holding a castle" obviously doesn't start at the bottom of said castle's walls but at defending strategic access points. Anybody with an IQ high enough to NOT put trebuchets infront of infantry, infront of ones walls to defend those walls would interpret it that way. #justiceforedmure

In some ways the Blackwoods represent a lot of fears xenophobes express about us foreigners. They keep their ways instead of integrating into riverland culture, which plays into that fear of the Other that’s at the heart of a lot of xenophobia…and they steal their position from the Bracken kings that took them in when chased out of the north, playing off the same fears that cause so much resource-guarding in our world. It’s interesting seeing such a despicable sentiment from such unlikeable characters (the Brackens) actually being valid in some ways in this one case.

I have a feeling that Raventree Hall will be a center for Brynden Tully's liberation of the Riverlands. Starting with the release of the "squires" of Jaime and then Edmure and Jeyne before they get to the Westerlands.

Are there any indications that any families other than the Targs have, for generations, been receiving visions and have been acting in accordance with their (usually wrong) interpretations of them? The Blackwoods seem like they would be good candidates for that.

You make the statement that Hoster and Brynden Blackwood are named after the Tullys. I think you are only half right I think Brynden “BLACKfish” Tully is named after a Blackwood. With Bloodraven we know the name Brynden is rooted more with Blackwood than with Tully. While nothing in the novels suggest this and would most likely have been remarked upon if actually the case my headcanon is that Hoster and Brynden Tully’s mother was a Blackwood. Their parents most likely got married around the same time as or just a bit after the Betha and Melantha Blackwood marriages when the Blackwoods would have been the at the height of their political power. It makes sense that this is the most likely time they’d be able to get a marriage with their liege. It’s even possible that Bloodraven helped facilitate the marriages. All the Stark kids are powerful wargs; having Blackwoods on both sides, not just Stark, might be the reason for that. Also I think in one of the earlier draft you can find at the Cushing Library Hildy is working for Stoneheart.

@obviousalias132 Жыл бұрын
@@JoeMagician that’s not what I’m saying. I don’t think you mispoke or anything. I’m saying the Blackfish was named after a Blackwood ancestor with Brynden being a Blackwood name. Not that Brynden Blackwood was named after Brynden Tully.

Disagree that Bran wouldn't be a physical person as an adult. He is incredibly well hand eye coordinated with his climbing, beat Tommen in the yard, a good rider, beats or is equal to Arya when they play fight and has dreams to be a Knight as an adult so would train hard. Which is all you need at the age of 8 to be fair. I think part of Brans tragedy is loosing this future
