Switching from something you're familiar with to something with more potential is bound to temporarily dip your success rate, but this experience could easily give him enough of a feel to conclude that sacrifice is worth it, Stick reset time and even physical distance between input gates are real factors to consider at high level. Feeling the freedom from that firsthand and knowing he can get his accuracy back once he's accustomed, it's a pretty reasonable decision.

After seeing these sets and remembering what Brian said about pad being hitbox but smaller. I can now with confidence go back to pad and feel like I know how to play street fighter. I bought a stick becasue I like arcade games and struggled getting DP on pad. Now that i return to it with my better muscle memory, a poad feels better in my hands for DP than a stick. Thank you Brian for being the pioneer I needed to find confidence in myself to comfortably play FGs again.
