It took me 10 minutes to get my Visible account running. I had two cell numbers active on my XR Iphone. The Cellular Data (Visible) line worked just as good as the Verizon number. Than I decided to drop Verizon and port my number to Visible. I did this via on line Chat. The agents were very responsive. It took 7 different agents, and 9 hours to get the port to work. It was done via eSim. Before you port your Verizon number, make sure it is unlocked. Both my XR phones show SIM Locked, even though I’ve had the phones for 4 years, and Verizon is supposed to unlock them after 90 days. Verizon checked twice and told me my phone was unlocked. The phone continued to say it was locked. End result is Visible was able to port the number and start service on IME2 instead of IME1. IME1 remains locked. At this point I just don’t care. The phone works fine. I joined the YMCA party, and my projected next month bill went to $25. I like the Chat line. The Agents were very polite, but limited in what they could do.

Visible is cool, I like the idea of a simple plan unlimited that has no limits. My service started slowing down near the area I moved to for some reason but if you get good service, I think visible is an easy choice.

I switched recently from T-Mobile/sprint and had a grandfathered plan which still had 480p limited video playback for $70. I’m seeing great overall coverage and even in some cases faster speeds than with my old carrier. I went into Walmart and didn’t lose coverage while with sprint/T-Mobile I would every single time.

Mint Mobile is a co-op that is not owned by T-Mobile in any way. Visible is owned by Verizon lock, stock & barrel; it's not even a subsidiary. So, the usual Verizon limitations will apply. Such as, their call-network is still CDMA. Meaning, they won't allow calls to come be received by or made from a phone that's configured for GSM networks (the global standard, apart from Verizon and AT&T). And even if your phone is a CDMA model, if it is even _possible_ to unlock its bootloader (for rooting, etc), they will attempt to deny it access to their call-network. Data will usually still work though. And Verizon will basically never come right out and tell you that that's why they "can't" _(won't)_ allow a phone access.

The only bad thing about visible is if you travel alot if you go to places without 4g you won't get any service at all no phone calls cause everything works on 4g even voice calls (volte). So if you travel alot bring another carrier sim with you just in case.

As long as Visible is offering true unlimited at the price it does it will trump anything with slowing after data caps. 🐢 I’m fine with 31Mbps down. 😀 No anxiety about running out of data. I put that extra $100+ I was paying in premium service somewhere else.

My Visible service is horrendous. Data speeds are so slow that even loading a web page is painfully slow. Even watching this video took forever because of the constant buffering. What good is unlimited data when your speeds are so slow that you can't use it. I also never get more than 2 bars on my signal. It's usually barely one. Terrible wireless service.

Where I live Visible does not have good coverage and what they do have is 4G only, not 5G. Mint has much better coverage here and it's 5G. I'll stick with Mint for now.

heard from a lot of people that visible 5g isnt up to snuff yet, lot of reviews show first hand that the LTE speeds are far better for the time being. assuming that since 5g is so new verizon is not yet allowing visible as much access to thier new towers yet but i also assume that will change as they get more towers up that support 5g

From personal experience, in area, their 5G is not a difference maker. They also don't allow you to turn off 5g on a lot of their phones. I personally wouldn't get visible for 5G. I agree (for now)

I, too, and thinking about upgrading from straight talk to Visible. I'm very sure that you can transfer your phone number to Visible because the phone numbers today are portable. I will be finding that out for sure within a month. I don't think anybody would switch the Visible if they couldn't keep their old phone number. Also, on Visible's website you we'll be able to look up the IMEI number of your current phone and Visible will let you know if you can use that particular phone on their Network. For example, my Galaxy S20 can be transferred to Visible but my Galaxy S8 cannot and would have to be upgraded.

I hadn't been exposed to US Mobile to be honest. I went with Mint BC it was cheap with a generous referral program and then I went with Visible bc they had unlimited data and Hotspot

@@caleg2256 i currently have verizon and my bill is 228 (i just paid off my s20+ so i can get out of verizon, so if i stayed with verizon it would be 50 less) per month. the reason why im leaning towards us mobile is because from the testing ive seen so far, us mobile consistently had faster speeds than visible and mint. visible seems to always have the slowest speeds (from all the test ive seen) because everyone that has visible are connected to 1 of the 2 servers that visible has. since everything is routed through those 2 servers, you will always have a higher ping which can and will probably lead to more lag. also, my wife is from the uk, so being able to communicate with them hassle free is a welcomed plus. finally, with the family plan, the bill will be around 60 bucks per month. thats still a hell of a saving from my current bill. we are going to see if my wifes brother want to join our plan to get it even cheaper per line, as well as getting spotify family plan (we currently pay about 16 bucks for it) for even more savings.

@@caleg2256 as far as the hotspots, i have never used them nor have i ever had the need to. however, visible hotspot is capped at 5mbs (last time i checked). us mobile hotspot is an add on, but the speeds arent capped. also, visible didnt have unlimited 2g data, while us mobile did have unlimited 2g data. neither of those two factors played a role in my choice btw. also, i havent technically switched yet, im still waiting on my sim cards to come in. i just ordered them today.

@@caleg2256 my guess is because everything with visible is routed through their 2 servers they have. i have not tested this myself, this is just from all the youtube videos ive seen. they were even from different content creators. i dont really need the unlimited data either since 90 percent of the time im at home where i use wifi. i literally cant take my phone into work so thats half of the day (i work 12 hour shifts) where i dont even have my phone.

Visible is telling me my unlocked Samsung Galaxy note 20 ultra is not compatible. I just checked at Tmobile and my phone is paid off and unlocked.....not sure what is going on? I paid it off two days ago but it is showing paid off at tmobile.

The Note 20 devices aren't supported on visible. Also I realized that I just don't want a plan that only offers deprioritized data anymore. I will just pay the extra money to have prioritized data.

Such a long presentation to tell a 2 min. story (most review's are) & about yesteryears experience. I tried the arduous task of getting their service & finally gave up. They're an mvno of Verizon & could not recognize a parent companies account #'s & once I jumped that hurdle. there were endless more! So if you can type proficiently, this might be a less excruciating experiance. P.S. there is no longer party pay & unlmited data is @ 5 mbps & that can be throttled!

Got a Samsung S21 512 Ultra unlocked phone 3 months ago and paid Mint 99.00 because when I entered IMEI at Visible it said NOT COMPATIBLE which sounds ridiculous since they were selling the S20 Ultra. C Tried again a few days ago and still said incompatible so let me know what you think as my Mint runs out May 24th! Would it be exactly 360.00 for a year or do they add taxes and fees? 25.00 on your Party sounds great!

Am I the only person who has had some major issues with visible. Their website is meh it still says I have the phone I have had for over a year on order and there was a hig mix up with upgrading and I have been back and fourth with them when it comes to issues. They contacted me for a week straight with a generic email of we are still working on it then they stopped and haven't contacted me for over 6 months. I just can't deal with them anymore

Yes ty for ypur I depth review. You are 2nd guy this old guy travels he says is best. If I move or travel & not like Mint anymore then I'd have to switch forcefully. But I want to try Mint since I am in big town kind of like a city and florida. If I end up being able to afford and have a place I can pay or get rich then I won't need to worry. Incase I get a biz get that 2nd txt free app number I just got keep my main associated with all accounts atm as my main. There is something your missing out ! You said they pay off the reminder of your phone !! But you have to start from scratch (new) on the iPhone 13!! It’s better that you sell it and put the money in the new phone !! You make it seem as if you can continue the reminder of the iPhone 13! But in reality you have to start from beginning

You thought they would have you finance a phone, Visible would pay off 50% of the old phone and also forgive 50% of the new phone??? That would be down right amazing and unreasonable. I didn't think I made it seem like anything other than what I said...which is they'll pay off the remaining of the phone once you've paid off 50% of the one you financed. I'm not sure how you were lead to the statement you made.

Great video but what happens if you join a party and then the party originator quits visible? Do you still get the $25 a month fee or is the party dissolved and then you have to pay $40 a month?

Hey! The party dissolves once the party organizer leaves and then it's $40/month. Mine will be active for at LEAST 12 more months. Or you can join another party

I just finished an online chat with a Visible customer service rep. Before I followed through with the online application, I did a quick check of Visible’s customer satisfaction reviews. THEY’RE TERRIBLE!! You didn’t mention anything about their low customer satisfaction in your vids (unless I somehow missed it). What gives???

@@evertonsway No. But I was a little concerned about two things. The rep I chatted with had no idea Verizon owned Visible! He also had no idea whether or not Visible customers could access Verizon’s free public wifi hotspots! On this issue he even checked with his supervisor. The best both of them could suggest was “try it and see if it works.” But it was the MANY “bad” reviews I discovered that really floored me!

@@evertonsway It just seemed odd to me that in making your vid(s) you never ran across any of these horrific reviews. Especially when you’re giving Visible such a good endorsement. If there were just a couple of bad ones, I wouldn’t let it bother me very much BUT there were quite of few of them to consider. I’m glad I checked before I made the switch. This is the very reason (in addition to the super high cost) why I'm leaving Verizon!

Visible is fake! Makes you enter in some serial number and is not even compatible with OnePlus. Visible has crappy smartphone selection.
