Hey mint, I have been using mint for a year and you guys have been great, you guys have been updating with features like wifi calling and also you guys increased the data limits. Your coverage was great but recently from more than two months I am facing a weird issue where when other people call me, it is not even registering a call and I searched online and got to know it's a wide spread issue. I am posting it here so you guys can be aware of this issue and solve this as early as possible. I want you guys to succeed and provide a great competition to the big carrier provider charging 4 times for the same service.

@@brandon_nope The speeds aren't as fast as native Verizon, ever. But for my use case they are fine. I get very close to what I did before with Verizon, but there is some "deprioritization " for sure. But I don't find it to be excessive or an issue. I'm sure mileage will vary of course. Limited types of Android phones are able to be activated. But everything iPhone SE and newer will work just fine. Wi-Fi calling is hit and miss. Works on iPhone, but very few Android phones. Absolutely no stores and no one to call for support. You can chat with support and that's it. But for me, not been an issue and I don't really care. That's about it.

@@MaxineEveDark not entirely. Carriers can share their towers but they can also control how much they share. They own it. And most of the carriers own their “third party” carriers like Cricket. Cricket is owned by AT&T, Verizon owns Straight Talk, T-Mobile owns MetroPCS and Sprint owned Boost (legally still does) and the big carriers can control the coverage and speeds you get at their budget companies to force you to want to be with a premium service like themselves. Sales scheme.

As a Mint mobile user for about 8 months I'm pretty happy about it. The coverage for the area I'm in is great and I like the updated app. I opted to use it for the(3 Gig) 3 month plan first to see how I would like it first and then I went for the (8 Gig) 6 month plan and then I just recently stepped it up to 12 months which gives the best savings. Now if you have internet at home I think 8 gigs is more than enough. I'm not always out and about a whole lot being on my phone unless I'm waiting for someone to drop off and I want to watch some KZbin videos then it'll eat up some but you should still be good on data. But if you don't have internet then prepaid plans that don't have unlimited data isn't a good choice. Be nice if Mint does do a so called unlimited data plan which technically it isn't. But basically if your a home body a 3 gig plan you can get by as well. I had metro pcs and used 3 gig plan and only went over 3 gigs maybe twice.

Drew, why didn't you go for a Verizon MVNO. I'm with US Mobile and their super LTE plan is on Verizon's network. I pay 60 bucks a month for unlimited with no speed restrictions and no caps on hotspot usage as well as no throttling on video resolution. Forgot to mention their non unlimited plans are also good to.

Pretty excited to be back with a small carrier, I get my new phone and plan in a week. Ended up on ATT due to ex and being on multiple family plan thing, shes gones, plans gones. I used to use Ting and I was going to use them again. I have nothing bad to say about Ting, but Mint seemed like an even better deal. I can say from my roughly 5 years with Ting, they were the best company I've done business with from a subscription technology standpoint. Looking forward to getting onto Mint. Plus Ryan Reynolds is awesome lol

I tried mint mobile in my area and my calls would just drop when on the phone with people. Coverage was alright but not my favorite. Sprint works better for me. Plus I was on my parents plan when I was younger they had sprint and I had my phone with them into I was 18 then got my own sprint account and I have had them for 2 years now on my own account not counting my parents plan. Sprints great for me.

in tunisia there are phone carriers and wofi carriers but most of the phone carriers do wifi plan but its just a hotspot device ill be talking sbout the phone carriers for phones not wifi to make phone calls or texts or to pay for data thers not a bill you buy a sort of a ticker or a card like a google play card (1dtfor phone costs 1.25dt abt $0.4 and 5dt is about 5.6dt abt $1.8) you dial up a number then ypu put the code on that card and boom you can call and pay for data and all (200mo costs 1dt for my carrier but prices slightly differ) . most of the carriers offer unlimited calling between certain numbers but idk a lot about them

Verizon does offer prepaid tablets but hilariously enough if you look for the single line plan from postpaid service and choose the tablet as the device there is an option for a $15 1GB tablet plan which you have to manually select that is discounted to $10 with auto pay and iPads are frequently discounted by Verizon. The overages cost $10 per 1GB.

I actually have 2 Sim Cards with Mintmobile. First one is the 8gb for 3 months deal that Mint added 3 free months. That's good through April. I also have that 12gb 3 month $45 deal. It expires in February. The 8gb deal with 3 free months is no longer available. Mint usually drops whatever special deal they have after its over.

I tried Mint about three years ago when I heard it mentioned on the Clark Howard show. I ONLY had service when I was really near an interstate or very spotty any where else. The coverage maps are total BS!. I had to drive three miles from my house to a very specific, very small area that had coverage if I needed to make a call. The customer service was non existent. There for a while I feared not being able to port my number away from them (the number I had for fifteen or so years). As I remember, I had to operate off of a new phone number from straight talk for about 60 days before I could get my old phone number back from Mint. I, too, prepaid for a chunk of service. I knew within a couple of days it was totally useless to me. Since there was NO WAY to talk to any one and they never returned emails (except for auto responders) I had to go through my bank to charge back the service. It took several months but my bank finally reversed the charges and credited my account. Try mint Mobile at your own peril.

Best Buy had 12mo 3GB plan on sale this 4th of July weekend for $150, and i used a couple Best Buy gift cards lying around and the Discover Card 5% cash back on PayPal at checkout. Came out to around $104 including tax. Beats $64 a month on VZ for 5GB rollover. I barely use any data nowadays thanks to coronavirus.

I was in a similar situation where I was just piggy-backing off my parents plan. Then I started doing some research into it, and found a 25$/month pre-paid plan with ATT that I really liked. It's only for 8 gigs of data a month, but I reckon I only use about 2-4 gigs every month on average. I never watch media on my phone, but I listen to Spotify while biking. So I need 'some' data. And ironically, the first month just for shits and giggles I pushed it over the cap to where they purposely slow it down, and it still streamed Spotify without any lag or hiccups. So basically, it's unlimited data for me. ;)
