Hi Alex. Many thanks for the comment. Really appreciate it. Yep I have a couple of Duke by the Cairn as well. 😊 The Glen is a stunning place and I wish I’d walked it and up the hills when I was fitter. I have aspirations to walk towards the Devils Stair case and get some shots from the side of the hill. Maybe one day.

Thank you. Yep I try to add a little info in my videos - when I can or when I feel there may be a wish to know more.

Some lovely images from there,Alastair. You don't see many photographers vlog from there so it was a different take on Glen Coe, especially the image from under the bridge. I hope Duke was suitably rewarded for all his effort once back to the car.

Those are some spectacular landscapes for some beautiful shots, and great to see you on more “unusual” walks 😁 loving the cloud textures too and it does make for great shade 😂

I do miss Glencoe. That little ledge is one of my fave spots. One day I'm gonna get right up in those hills.

One part of Scotland I haven't been to yet. Would really love to get over there for a week. Lovely images👍

Hi Scott. It’s a fabulous part of Scotland. Well worth the visit. Some good walks to do and of course hills to climb. You can get some good deer shots near by as well. No telephoto required. They will walk right up to you. :-) don’t restrict yourself to Glen Coe. Glen Etive which is to the south east of Glen Coe is also nice and has wildlife to see as well.

@@AccessiblePhotography that’s very kind Alistair 😊🙏🏼 I did notice in your film your quite on with using an iPhone for photography (as a none photographer I think they are really good ) but how do you find it compared to the DSLR ect

@@SetForAdventures I haven’t got the hang of using a DSLR for filming. Need to learn more. I used to use a GoPro and that was okay. I now have a Sony ZV-1 which gives really good results just in Auto. I do need to learn manual filming and that’s where using an variable ND filter will be of use. When it over exposes I can twist the filter to darken the image and improve the exposure. On auto that won’t work as well as it counters the filter with ISO. A handy small device suitable for your walks is the DJI Pocket 2. It gives good footage in good light. It struggled in low light (see my Edinburgh at Dusk video) for an example of that not working very well. But also see Plodda Falls where it was fine. It can also be set in a tripod and it will follow you which is good for the look of the video. The iPhone 13 gives stunning video. I had to take video footage at work during lockdown as our videographer was not allowed on site (essential staff only). The video he created from my footage was awesome and you would never know it was done on a phone. It was he who suggested I use the phone! There are two things you can do to improve phone footage. Use a gimbal or a Frame with handles on the sides. The latter being the cheaper option. I have both. I am not proficient with the Gimbal so have not really used it yet. I used the frame at Work. Gets very smooth footage if used correctly.

@@SetForAdventures oh geez. Just saw you meant photography not video. Sorry!! The iPhone 13 max pro takes awesome video and stills. Obviously the quality of the image is not as good as a 45 mega pixel DSLR but for social media and even YT it’s not bad at all. It may be necessary to dial down the colours in post as the phone can be a bit over generous with saturation. But if it’s Instagram images you want then it’s perfect. There is a channel where the phone is used primarily for photography and I highly recommend watching it if the phone is all you have or wish to carry. Look up Tim Day.

@@AccessiblePhotography cool yes I’ll take a look. I just use an iPhone mainly to keep as low as possible with long adventures especially 👍 Cheers
