This is the most frustrating thing about going through cancer and having bad legs, I pass that place alot but just can't get out and go for a walk due to the damage chemotherapy has done to me ☹ but with videos like this it makes me feel like I've seen it all, thank you both so much 👍

You have my sympathies chum, I have been walking the Scotttish hills for over fifty years and cycling and driving for almost as long. Comes as a real blow, when you can't do things you always took for granted. I used to think nothing of ten or fifteen miles, now half a mile to the shops and back without going on my backside is an acheivement Steve's video's bring back a lot of memories. I actualy remember Tyndrum before the Green Welly Shop when we used to stop there fifty years ago in Landrovers and an old British Army Jeep. At that time there was a real character in the area called Gus who lived in nearby Glenorchy were we used to camp. Cop in Appin told us he was the best poacher in the West Highlands no one could ever catch him. The lost valley appears to not have changed in thirty five years since I was last there. Thanks for the views Steve, and love your partner,Real Polish Lady.

I bought hers for Valentines day several years ago and I also had a tree planted for her. I'm hoping to get to the Highlands at the end of September in my microcamoer van so might get the chance to visit our plots. Great channel by the way keep it up.

My husband and I are in Scotland for 2 weeks this summer. We are actually staying about 90 minutes from Glencoe but we will definitely be visiting this place. It's possible to go to Scotland and not visit Glencoe. This walk looks amazing but I've always been nervous about doing it because of getting lost. We will be there in August though so I suppose there will be lots of people around. Who knows. I may be commenting on this video again at some point to say we did this. Fantastic video and thanks for posting.

I really enjoyed this one. Y'all are very lucky to have each other. The Hidden Valley is on my bucket list, but I want to camp overnight there on a February 12th night into the morning of the 13th. To be awake for 5 am on the 13th, the anniversary of the betrayal and massacre of the MacDonald's of Glencoe. To say prayers for the murdered and those who perished in the snow, that they find peace at last. (Remember, several are buried there in unmarked graves.) They deserve peace. I know how this will sound M'Lord, but I sincerely wish that the spirits of Dalrymple, Glenlyon, Duncanson and Hamilton be condemed to wandering there for all eternity; knowing no peace whatsoever. Thank both y'all so much for taking this trip, and for sharing it with us. I remain, your Lordship's most humble and obedient servant.

A powerful comment! Cheers Alex!

True, they do deserve peace! I've a clan friend who assures me that they are not at peace and he will not return to the Valley on those days, or that week for that matter. He also told me once that the enmity between the two clans still abides to this day so they cannot be seated in the same venue like the Annual Clan Gathering at Edinburgh Castle. The gathering must be split into separate nights because of the continuing feud, well, this one among others too. The Scots are mighty warriors and champions at carrying a grudge when deserved! In this case, I cannot blame them.

Absolutely, the midges were there fifty years ago too. Once saw a whole R A F mountain rescue team beat it to the local pub because of them. It is not recorded what happened to the poor saps they were supposedly looking for, coud'nt have been important, probably an excercise.

The Glencoe valley is stunning in its views and saturated in tragic history. Steve's comment in the video description about how weather affects the rugged walks, reminded me of the heavy snows the massacre survivors had to experience in their escaping trek away from their assailants. Many did not survive their travails and that history of treachery always overhangs this beautiful part of Scotland.
