An interesting play with exhume is that it allows you to exhaust a card you want, for example to get more block from either second wind or true grit, to then be able to bring it back and not have lost it. Perfect example, turn 1 you are getting hit. You exhaust a limit break because you need the armor and not the doubling strength. Turn 2+, you draw exhume + flex. You now can flex, exhume limit break, double up on strength you otherwise wouldn't have been able to do because you drew limit break first. You now reshuffle limit break into your deck to then possibly even play next turn. This is perfect case scenario and mileage will vary, but it works on top of being able to exhume anything else you currently or futurely will have

I love to see the flex pop. I recommend using your hearthstone skills in slay the spire. Focusing on draw and mana gain then pray for no time keeper works 2/3 of the time. And that ain’t bad. But believe it or not, in my ascension 14 run, I had a double tap fiend fire corruption two ruptures medical kit as the first relic bought from the shop into a late runic pyramid that did over 500 damage in my final even I only needed about 236 damage to wipe through Time Keeper off the face of the Earth once again. Haven’t watched the video yet, just wanted to say you are genuinely inspiring to me in a valuably excellent way.

I had an awesome strength run last night. Took a random relic got red skull, and then immediately got a flex, then a limit break, then another flex, then an inflame and then another limit break. Kept the deck small with a few aoe attacks (thunderclap and whirlwind) transformed all strikes and defends that hadn't been deleted, got another flex+ and then got ice cream. It was awesome. Got up to 999 str against donu and deca and it was great. Only on ascension 4, but this was like the 3rd time I've played slay the spire since 2021.

Why doesn't nl prioritize uppgradering pommel strike more? It increases the draw, not just the damage. It's one of the best upgrades he had from the first boss onwards. Instead he goes for 1 more damage on reaper...

Hemo and second wind were dead draws by act 3. That pain stripped away your helix more than once often when players take cursed key they skip chests this not getting a curse. Should have taken that 2nd enflame in act 3 shop your relics carried a bit of a bloated deck.

Pre-upgraded could be referring to the point in time before it’s upgraded as in pre-nuptial or it could be referring to something that comes upgraded (this was upgraded pre-sale/get) as in preprocessed material.

It realistically has two meanings. It could refer to an un-upgraded card as in "before it was upgraded", but it could also mean the card was upgraded prior or as part of him seeing it, kind of like how credit cards will say you can get pre-approved. Generally, you would infer the second option because the first one is just needlessly complex, like using a double negative. Why say pre-upgraded when you could simply say something less convoluted like un-upgraded. The blanket negation is less confusing than referring to temporal states.
