Camping, fish n cook is a nice change from the regular in-house stuff. I find the easiest Viet food to prepare for outdoors is bun thit nuong. The vermicelli and veggies can be prepared ahead of time, just bring a bottle of fish sauce and marinade some pork and shrimp on sugarcane. Easy and fun to eat! Btw, for local ponds like that you'll have to fish with live worms rather than plastics.

Hi I’ve been researching for 11 herbs and spices 2 tsp black pepper 1 tsp white pepper 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp summer savory 1 tsp coriander seed 1 tsp nutmeg 1/8 tsp allspice 1/8 tsp clove 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp sage 1/4 tsp ginger Mix with 2 tsp salt 1/2 msg add to 1 cup cake flour cook it in pressure cooker. I swear to you this is the closest recipe from 2 months of research. I hope you tried it! Use measuring spoon if you can.

Looks like you were targeting bass. Personally if it’s a relaxing family trip, I would do a bait n wait setup. Depending on the lake and season target trout or channel cats.

you should try making that crispy seaweed.. basically spring greens chopped up deep fry till golden (10-20 secs in oil) take out drip dry season with salt and enjoy

Awesome video! Always love the food and the eating. I went fishing with a friend from Laos. The trout we caught, we just put on the grill without even gutting them. I asked him why, and he said the guts are behind the bones and we eat the meat in front of the bones. Dipped it in fish sauce with some rice noodles and it was awesome. God bless love from Colorado.
