Yep, I bought some junk, went to return it learning it was junk and the company was now off Amazon being removed for some reason I forget. Did a little research before buying another from a different seller and they had the same stinking address. Sadly Amazon customer service is impossible to get a hold of to inform them. So many blame Amazon when these companies probably close and reopen everyday Amazon can’t keep up.

I purchased some dog treats from Amazon and made a review about buyer beware because it was not the original bully sticks as listed. I received an email saying my review could not be posted because it went against their community guidelines. So warning consumers to read the labels and to help them out about the ingredients go against guidelines. Ridiculous. I am so sorry for Maggie and her owner.

Seresto collars are risky to wear regardless. Back in 2021, there was an investigation after almost 1,700 pets had died from wearing them. I wouldn't trust them at all.

I actually use Amazon Pharmacy and have had a great experience. My pills are $1500 (without insurance) and my local pharmacies no longer carry it. Amazon does, it comes in the original manufacturer's bottle, and is fully sealed. If it didn't, I would be leary as well.

Dear Dog Lovers: I’m a retired veterinarian after 40 years in practice. There are WAY better flea and tick products on the market that are much safer than ANY type of flea/tick collar. These are basically plastic strips that are impregnated with pesticides, some volatile, that your dog’s skin and air around their head is constantly exposed to. When you or your children are hugging your dog, you are also being exposed to these chemicals. Spend a little more money and get something safe!

About a year ago, I bought 2 Kevin Murphy hair products from Amazon which were definitely counterfeit: the Hydrate Me Wash (shampoo) and Masque (conditioner), both in the 1 Liter size. The plastic containers seemed normal, except for the labels were printed onto paper that peeled off when wet - not normal. Usually the info was printed with paint right onto the plastic containers. They both smelled and looked different, not like the original product. I ended up washing my hair with the shampoo because I hadn't realized yet it was counterfeit. My hair dried out to a crisp, which freaked me out. What was in that shampoo? Cheap soap? Laundry detergent? Amazon refunded me, and I returned the bottles to an Amazon store nearby. Apparently this was common with cosmetics and beauty supplies.

And Sharpie markers. I use a LOT of them for work and used to buy cases from Amazon. But they started becoming 80% fakes. Wrong ink. Wrong color plastic barrel and cap and the ink did weird things. I cannot trust Amazon at all about this now. A stupid 75 cents each marker is still worth somebody making a fake. I now only buy them from retailers who have a chain of custody from the manufacturer to the warehouses and stores. Never had one of those turn out fake.

My heart goes out to her. I’m glad she’s sharing her story. If possible, it’s best to work with your veterinarian or a trusted seller to get flea and tick treatments and avoid flea collars. They are not good choices for cats or dogs. I’ve been at the vet when cats were brought in dying from Hartz flea products.

😢 I'm extremely concerned about flea meds. My cat already had 2 doses of Frontline but the fleas persevere. The med is extremely toxic (neurotoxic). 😢 It's possible that Maggy was wearing an authentic collar but still they're dangerous 😢 I'm so sorry for your loss 😢😢😢

True. My perfect pup started having seizures in 2020. We stopped giving her an oral flea and tick. She had an emergency CAT scan and spinal tap, and no other cause was found, so eliminating one thing in her routine seems like a pretty direct causation to me. She was briefly on anti seizure meds, but she hasn’t had a seizure since.

Your cat's fleas may have built-up a tolerance for the exact chemical that's in the Frontline medication. Changing to a different type of medication may be warranted.

@@VioletWings1353 the vet recommended Revolution plus but I'm hesitant since I know it's very strong med and some cats have had catastrophic reactions 😥 I'm using the comb every day, multiple times a day, as tolerated by my beautiful kitty, and I'm treating the carpet with baking soda and salt mix, also washing his bed every other day and the linen. It's exhausting but I'd do anything for him, anything to help him. He means the world to me 🥹😻🐈💓😘❤️

We use Bravecto and it keeps our cats free of fleas. You need vet approval if purchasing online or to get it directly from a vet. It’s best to give a flea bath a day before using it but yes flea medicine in general is going to have some amount of toxicity no matter what it is chemicals.

Third party sellers can also sell garage sale items that are used or packaged old stock. It’s best to buy from a company/manufacturer’s official Amazon store and then only after comparing prices and products they offer on the company’s main store website. Otherwise you may be buying an old version of a product that has been discontinued for a valid reason. Old products can contain lead and unhealthy ingredients that are now illegal for use.

I have received several products that I believed were counterfeit down through the years. The last one was a bottle of shampoo - it was off color and absolutely awful quality. The real shampoo was very good, but I guess I won't find it on Amazon. This has happened to me over and over. If I could get out and physically examine a product before I bought it, I would.

I used to buy Nutro dog foods through amazon. I noticed my dog constantly had infections around her nose and eyes. And she did not want to eat the food. Another Amazon scam is a seller sending you the wrong product. You contact Amazon, they tell you to discard or donate the incorrect item, ship you the correct item, then charge you for the original one because you didn't return that item. They can't really vet the items or sellers. Amazon literally cannot have space in each warehouse for each seller if it's shipped from Amazon. Even so, it can still be shipped and sold from Amazon and still be counterfeit. If a seller wants Amazon to ship the product, they send the units to Amazon and they get binned in the same place as items for other sellers, even the manufacturers. You could literally buy the $15 version of it from a third party seller and Amazon ships you the one made by the manufacturer directly that was the $30 item instead. You'd never know. Basically, the seller got banned, with an email sent to the ones that bought from the third party, and that was it. The counterfeit team would need to inspect each unit from that bin now. There's literally millions of third parties on Amazon. Do you really and honestly think they can go through each item and vet each seller?

Amazon has no way to work with them on products that you received incorrectly. I received 16 of the same product incorrectly and still working on trying to get the right product. I will know today whether or not they’ve corrected the problem. If not I’ll end up with 22 products sent to me incorrectly. on top of that this is a product that can’t be returned so they keep crediting the product back but I end up with the product.🤯
