My apologies to people who have already seen this clip. I released it a few weeks ago accidentally. I quickly made the video private but it was too late. People had been notified already. I was devastated because I really wanted a clean release for this video. I was excited to see people’s reaction to this conversation. The woman that I interviewed is not likely to be someone who shares my perspective on many issues, yet we had an interesting and respectful dialogue. After the first 3 or 4 minutes, I was thinking to myself that I needed to tread carefully. I didn’t interrupt her, even though I disagreed with some of her points. In the end though, we were both able to acknowledge the legitimacy of our alternative viewpoints and even found common ground. A victory for Respectful Disagreement :)

Indeed I personally would have corrected her when she told that Alexander should rephrase the question to include both genders as that was not the purpose and Alexander is not studying male but woman behavior. This probably would have lead into an argument. Alex also patiently let her to speak and express her opinion and view. Secondly Alex was quite clever when he told that he sees they can reach a common ground, she obviously felt good when she heard that. We don't want to make up for our shortcomings by being really good at something else that will appeal to a woman. Many of you just want her to accept you as you are and who you are when you're no different than the other 50 guys she might have to choose from. TBH, there are a bunch of nice guys out here. @Tilley535 жыл бұрын
Honestly she doesn't seem to know what she's talking about in my opinion. The estrogen and testosterone comment she made is true but the amounts in us both is different it's not comparable and had no reason to be brought up. Also, how the heck can someone be masculine AND feminine?? Dressing lazily doesn't make you masculine so I don't know why that's an example? Yeah men dress lazily in sweats or whatever they decide, but so do women with yoga pants/leggings and a t-shirt. She has no idea how to be masculine, she just has this diluted image of masculinity The relationship just leave. It's so stupid to stay in an abusive relationship and yet women and men both are too stupid to leave apparently. Forget the other person's feelings and leave, you shouldn't be living with them so if you have to worry about where you are going to live if you leave then you made an idiotic mistake. Look for red flags before you jump into a relationship and stop jumping into something as quickly as possible. I can't believe she also said "society doesn't teach men and women how to be in a relationship." Are you actually serious? That's something you can't be taught, it's something you have to do on your own. There's plenty of people who get advice from their parents/friends who say "don't date that guy/girl." Most people don't listen because they don't care, people are going to do what they are going to do. Relationships can't be taught they can only be experienced. The only advice you can get is watch for red flags. Also what is that about society needs to teach men to control their sexual urges? Most men do control them. In a round about way she also said the sexual arousal men get for women is wrong. Even though we get that way so the human race can survive. Our species is literally built upon killing each other, and having sex to further the strongest genes. No matter how "civilised" we get, we will always have our primitive instincts yo have sex and be aroused by the opposite sex. I'm done roasting this chick but there's more to her argument that just made me question her intelligence. I disagree with her on just about everything she said, because she sounds like a typical feminine who even said men are trash.
@bazyl33575 жыл бұрын
You can have both masculine and feminine qualities at the same time if those qualities don't contradict each other. You can't for example be strong AND weak or rational AND emotional, but you can be strong and emotional or weak and rational.
@ralx225b5 жыл бұрын
There is one thing I must correct you on, society IS SUPPOSED to teach you how be in a relationship. Humans are NOT NATURALLY civilized they are TAUGHT to be civilized through a series of laws, cultural/societal norms, and punishments and rewards. That is what separates humans and animals. Animals only contend with their environment, humans have to contend with both the environment and culture. This is why when humans who come from different cultural backgrounds meet, unless there are similarities between the cultures they often do NOT understand each other. So YES your society is SUPPOSED to teach men and women how to operate in both platonic and sexual relationships and if it fails to do so....well let's just say randomness occurs.
@QuinquetPourpre2 жыл бұрын
I believe we can be taught relationships. I entered my first a few months ago, and it's been going well, but you would have put me there a few years ago I would have made a mess. Because in those last years I studied a lot human behaviors especially differenciated between the men's and the women's. The issue is that feminism wants to dictate relationships, but only to make them gynocentric. If you get out of that point of view you can totally learn, and be taught how to have a good relationship.

“I wasn’t able to say no to the things that were happening to me.” Yes, you were. It’s astonishing how little agency women take in their lives, and while we’re on the part of educating men, why not talk a little about how you have to take responsibility for your own actions? You were with this horrible, abusive person for how long? Three years? Something seems very, very off about this girl.
@supersaiyan-u7w5 жыл бұрын
The reason women have little agency in taking responsibility and accountability for their behavior in relationships with men is because it's in their nature to submit to a dominate man. Men typically want submissive women however being with a submissive woman comes at a cost for the man. If a woman submits to a man it is then his responsibility for what happens to her. When a woman submits to a man she is trusting the man to take care of her which means she is therefore not responsible for herself. She gives the man she submits to the responsibility to care for her well being. We as men shouldn't complain about women lacking accountability for their behavior if we also expect them to submit to us in relationships. The issue is that women want the authority of men while also not accepting accountability like men.

She also complains about the fact that other men did not stand up to save her from her previous abusive relationships, or when she was abused on the street. Well, men who do that these days, end up victims themselves of both those perpetrators and the victim women since the woman and the perpetrator, usually, have some beef, and they both dislike when somebody else intervenes in their business. I've seen that before. so many times: a woman gets abused by her partner, and a stranger intervenes. Then the stranger gets his ass kicked by her abuser and by herself because she eventually sides with the abuser(Stockholm syndrome or whatever). Plus, the law is not on the side of the man who intervenes, so it's simply not worth putting your life in danger to save a strong independent woman(unless it's someone close to you).

If this girl is constantly calling out her boyfriends on 'toxic masculinity' then she should look at her choices of men. That said even chivalrous men are classed as toxic these days. She does realise that accountability is needed by both sides which is a start but certain traits are needed to glue relationships together like women being feminine and men being masculine and not vice versa. There's just no way around it this whole interaction was so incredibly awkward and quickly made me feel very uncomfortable. From my perspective she represents a MASSIVE unequivocal red flag in her current state. You may think this discussion went well but the whole interaction was colored by an insidious but persistent judgemental projection with a massive negative bias towards men, which indeed is revealing of a significant social problem we are faced with today. Alex did his best to not appear threatening and/or confrontational to keep the ball going, which is probably what I would have ended up doing as well, however due to the boundaries he must've felt she was implying through her responses, it prevented any actual response from her to the ONE open ended question that this whole interaction was really supposed to be about, which is: "Why is it that men have been socially shaped to feel ashamed and/or to repress their natural response for being attracted to women who present themselves in a particularly favorable light physically, which would be to engage in visual contact, attempt to engage verbally with conversation, and physically with touch, caress, and then to intelligently move forward from there based on the feedback they receive?" Isn't it the whole point? for women to be as attractive as possible in order to receive the most universally intense level of attention from men, which is then an energy that can be transformed into something constructive? The feminine principle is quite literally the receptacle of life, and so it is the role of the masculine principle to put life in the receptacle. When we ask for an explicit clarification to remove any possibility of a misunderstanding when observing hypocritical/paradoxical behavior, the clarification is never given on the level that we expect it should be given. In some aboriginal societies who live cut out from the rest of the world, this hypothetical/idealistic approach interaction I just described above is exactly how the approach process unravels. There's no texting mind games, pedigree evaluation, assessment of partner count, or gimmicks related to who's paying the bills. The safety net that the tribe presents already ensures a certain level of filtering before any party can be exposed to another. In these societies women don't wear make-up as we know it and don't have plastic surgery designed to alter one's perception of women's genetic material, so both sexes coexist on a much more grounded level, as they are both practically naked. Their mutually perceived value is not colored by consumerism or the ways that it presents to artificially augment one's visual presentation. If the woman likes the man she doesn't reject his physical proximity, and if she doesn't she just moves away and the man understands. The man is always the instigator but there is deep respect on the receiving end for what men contribute to the tribe, as it is factually there on display every day for everyone to see, as these people live grounded in something that's profoundly real, whereas the same principles absolutely do not apply in our societies. The reality is that women are rightfully scared of being physically overpowered by men, despite the fact that both sexes on a large scale have been coexisting and have been moving towards the future together for millennia, yet women today want to live in a society where they are free to put themselves on full display, but don't have the level of maturity it takes to handle the response that comes with the energy they project, because it understandably isn't easy to surrender your physical safety and not to succumb to fear in a context where there will unfortunately always be a marginal group of men that can inflict some serious damage despite the fact that most men are civilized, and so for that, "most men" have to pay the price. If we want to move forward, something's going to have to give. There is a tremendous amount of work that needs to be done to educate men on understanding the primordial importance of respecting boundaries to increase the level of confidence they inspire as a whole over time in the eyes of women, which will greatly minimize the underlying feeling of fear that they carry today. In the same way, there is a tremendous amount of work that needs to be done to educate women to fully acknowledge and respect the intrinsic value of men, their true nature, their role, as well as to understand how to process advances of men in a way that will largely minimize feelings of humiliation and resentment, so that we can all ultimately aspire to actually live our lives the way we were supposed to from the beginning, as the social individuals that we always were meant to be.

Notice that she starts her answer by questioning the question, and avoids giving an answer. Smugly, no less, like a villain who underestimates the protagonists, almost as if they don't matter. She also delivers her responses in a passive-aggressive way, as if she's afraid to answer the question straightforwardly, but won't shy away from answering it honestly. Typical feminist. Doesn't know how to answer the question without being a little dishonest, and she will constantly contradict herself while doing so. She does do it respectfully, however, and I respect that.

What a great video. When it starts out as heated as it did, its really a huge accomplishment to get to where you ended up. And considering her recent breakup from a toxic relationship, no wonder she had her claws out in the beginning. Reading the comments here, I also belive that when triggering words are used, it is our own responsibility to know what triggers us, and to have prepared a defense against reacting emotionally to those triggers if we are interested in dialogue. If the words "toxic masculinity" triggered you, your emotions will literally blur your hearing, missing the words "toxic femininity" that she uttered only seconds later. If we do not prepare ourselves for this, there is no point in trying to have a debate, and we fall back into our respective trenches. Great job.

The first thing she did was change the question rather than answer it. A typical feminist tactic.

7:00 i called this early on in the video, like 30 seconds into it, i said to myself she has been likely damaged in previous relationship and has created an identity for herself in response to that negative experience. her attitude and the things she say screams out for attention and is cleary angry or hurt by someone or something negative

This is a psycho woman that should be avoided. She has no basis for any of her views and is clearly fishing for sympathy to hand-wave away having to explain any of it. Her 'victim position' forces me to question her stories and whether she reacted then how she is reacting now. She may just see it as more beneficial to be a victim now.
