It is a AMG. It is not hand built but it is a AMG. It has the AMG enhanced engine with EQ boost, AMG performance 4 matic plus all wheel drive, AMG Speedshift TCT 9 speed transmission, AMG Dynamic select, AMG drive unit, AMG sports suspension based on air body control, AMG Performance braking system, AMG 20 inch wheels, AMG performance steering wheel in Nappa leather and AMG sport exhaust system. It doesn't have to have a V8 to be a AMG. If it has the performance to beat most cars on the road that is what is most important. And the 2021 E53AMG will beat most cars on the road. It also has the best interior.

I wasn’t talking about engines on the S6 or RS6 and there are different parts on both of those engines, it’s not like they just detuned it in software. And subframes and suspension parts and exhausts and almost everything is different between S6 and RS6 so my point is valid. The whole point is that an S6 is not an RS6 and AMG 53 is not AMG S63 and M550 is not an M5. Meaning they are sub high performance, hence AMG 53 line is not a real AMG. Ask your mother what went wrong with you.

I agree, the sound of the engine from the exhaust (being an in-line 6) wasn't impressive at all and the acknowledgement of feeling every pound of weight isn't as good as you may think with the E53 AMG being less large and heavy as the S63 or E63 AMG. I've heard better things about the C63 AMG's sounding of the engine through the exhaust and touch of weight. I haven't driven a Mercedes-Benz in my life, so I don't have a true say in how it personally feels to me, so all I can do as of right now is go off of the reviews, and statements of those who have.

there is no s53...the e53 is s straight line 6 not a v8, as for how heavy it feels. Drive it and then decided about the weight, when ive driven it its not been an issue especailly in sports plus.

@@mygoogle1482 My apologies, I meant to press the 6 and saw my error just now. I don't understand why I though it was a V8, makes me sound like I don't know stuff, which in this case, I truly don't. The chance I get to test-drive an AMG of the C, E & S classes, will be a learning experience for me, for then I will have a true personal opinion on how it feels; the addition for new sport sedans to offer 2-3 different settings to the drive-train and modes of comfort and sport will definitely have implications on the touch of the driving. In comfort mode, I can see the weight being more balanced with a lighter, more smooth touch.

ive driven the c63 but not an e63s. The c63 sounded like a v8 indeed but if its slightly damp or the tyres arent warm enough its prone to be tail happy under even moderate acceleration, i experienced, i was looking for a performance car in which i can apply power not being too worried about conditions. So as a daily i wasn't convinced. The s63 is heavier at around 100kg more than the e53 coupe and e63s - which are very similar in weight.... (18-) AMG E 53 Coupé 4MATIC+ 3L Inline 6 Bi-Turbo + EV Front - AWD 155 mph 4.4 sec 451 BHP 32.5 mpg 1970 kg (17) E 63 AMG 4L V8 Bi-Turbo Front - AWD 155 mph 3.4 sec 604 BHP 32.1 mpg 1950 kg (18-) S 63 AMG Coupé 4L V8 Bi-Turbo Front - RWD 155 mph 4.2 sec 604 BHP 2080 kg I think a large part of the problem for the e53 is its hard to compare it against others...as a 2 door coupe with genuine back seats, with latest and best in class outside of tesla tech driving support, attractive inside, not just outside (As that's where i'd spend all my time) 4 wheel drive and compfortable enough to be in for 13 hours @ 6foot 3 and 17 stone plus and around £60k - the list of true rivals is limited (do let me know what you would have looked at to meet those criteria....always great to get perspective and learn). There are better handling cars but they give on some of the criteria above and I believe the extra precision is only really relevant on track. I drove the e53 across a swiss mountain pass - 45 mins of rising and falling cambered twisting roads - it kept pace with the porsche macan turbo s, which whislt not a sports car porsche is renowned for porsche like handling in admittedly a mini suv. only problems was tyres reached 75c...so had to stop for 15 mins afterwards.

@@mygoogle1482 I've heard great things about the touch, comfort, tech & precision about the C43 & C63 AMG's, very great sport coupe's/sedan (depending on owner preference) for their size. They definitely sound and feel like it has a V8, although I haven't driven one personally to get my own acknowledgement through personal feeling, the reviews I have seen and watched on the C class AMG's are very eye opening. I personally own a BMW 528i, I'm a huge BMW fanatic, anything BMW I know and love to expand my knowledge upon... very loyal to the brand. I personally look for a driver's car than an owners car... that's just my preference of choice. I love having the handling precision, braking touch, sound of the engine through the gears and balanced feel of the car I own in my grasp, feeling every vibe of the driving experience rush through me on a long road or winding one. And that's why I choose BMW as my choice of car, I do wish to expand my understanding on how other car franchises make their cars to which offer differences from other car companies, in other words, how they make their brand of vehicle unique, different, or special. Every car franchise has different pros and cons with the way they engineer their line-ups to be..., but it's how you take the differences, good or bad and with stride and specialize the touch you offer for the customer at hand that wishes to experience the unique differences of what your brand and line-up offers to the driver that other one's don't, or don't do as great a job in that aspect as yours. This is something I would like to expand upon, is expanding my perspective by test driving different sport cars of different brands and getting a feel for the overall experience offered by each and how they all differ in their 'fantastic', 'good', 'needs some improvement' & 'lacks in' areas.
