Yay sunscreen reviews! My personal absolute favourite of all time is the naturium UV reflect. The dew glow wasn't good for me. Too glowy and kinda thick looking. The UV reflect is so good I just reordered two more bottles. I do lean oily tho. It's not drying on me just very natural. It doesn't change my skin tone at all (the dew glow did a little). You're right it's good to find a sunscreen that works for you and you love! I just ordered the new drmtlgy matte spf... Interested to see what it's like.

They have different ones, the one I use doesn’t have fragrance or if it has I don’t smell it. It is the best sunscreen I use in years and my skin looks good under it. It’s expensive so I buy once a year when they have 30% off and that makes same price as most of the good ones

The AOS sounds right up my alley👌(p.s.. you know how much I love Naturium, but I don't care for either of their sunscreens 😬) I've been meaning to ask you: Do you wait for your skincare to soak in before applying sunscreen? Or, do you apply the first coat as the final step of your routine? Also, how long do you wait between the first and second coat? And how long do you wait between second coat and applying a concealer or foundation? 🤔Thanks!

Oh, you don't like the Naturium Dew Glow eithere? Hmmm. I generally do my skincare, then go and make a coffee. When I come back, I apply the sunscreen, one layer after another (no waiting). I just find it easier to apply more when I do it in thin layers. As for makeup, I generally wait about 5 minutes. Because I do hair, get dressed, etc... What do you do?

It's actually a new combo...Catrice Plumping Lip Liner in 05 Lincense to Kiss (super cheap from drug store) and Rare Beauty Lipgloss in Nearly Netural. I'm also a Korean sunscreen gal thanks to you! I LOOOOVE Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun. I keep trying others and just always come back to it. It's the perfect weight for me as my skin is VERY sensitive to feeling like it has a mask on. Particularly in the scorching heat of summer here in the midwest. Why is it 100 degrees in JUNE??? I also tried BofJ Sun Serum thinking it might be even little bit lighter. It was a tad heavier so going to save that for under "frying an egg on the pavement" weather. That being said - I do love AOS and will give that a go! Thanks for the code, The Mary!

Thank you for this, I hate the glow aspect of sunscreens. Have put the Niche top on the list to try next. I liked the more matte finish if anyone has any other matte sunscreen suggestions i can get in the UK that would be great.

Hi! I mentioned in a comment here that I love naturium UV reflect for a natural matte look. Another long time favourite is drmtlgy broad spectrum (the untinted one). I've also enjoyed supergoop matte but it's a tinted mineral of that's your jam...

You look younger with each video!! Your skin is phenomenal !! Quick question: Is the Allies of Skin sunscreen fragrance-free? I am having huge problems with SPF blowing my eyes up .. doesn't matter whether it is chemical or mineral .. it seems to be fragrance. AND the Boots Future Renew SPF moisturiser does NOT play well under make-up .. I have tried it with several of my favs (giving it up to 45mins sink-in time) and it pills and rolls foundation (and even skin tints!!) ... Also I have just noted that you are quoting prices in dollars/bucks ... what about euro? Are you no longer based in Ireland????? I just bought the Beauty of Joseon SPF 50 and it is phenomenal .. and works brilliantly with make-up (bought it on Stylevanna - 2 tubes for about 30euro!!) .. Thanks Mary. Great update!!

It's fragrance to so you're all set. I have zero issues when used on my eyes. I'm still based in Ireland, but very few people watch me here....most of my audience is US. The cost is the same - €50/$50/£50.

Does the Allies of Skin have European/different filters there? I looked it up and their US site lists all the normal chemical filters we’ve had in cheaper formulas like Coppertone, Neutrogena etc.

Yes, it turns out they do. I got in touch with them and they have 2 versions - 1 for the US and 1 for rest of world. Same texture and finish 👍

Thanks Mary! Naturium Dewy was much too glow-y for me. I've been happy with DRMTLGY tinted. Not much else really impresses me from the brand, but this is a stand-out. I'll try AoS when I'm ready to order again. Love the idea of a clear format.

The U.S. hasn't approved a sunscreen active ingredient since 1999 and needs to get its act together. I'm assuming AoS wants to sell their new sunscreen in the U.S. market, which is why the product doesn't contain new-generation filters. For me, the sunscreen is expensive for the technology being offered and how often it will need to be reapplied. The formula shares 3 out of 4 filters with Naturium, which is a much more forgiving price point.

WOW Mary, great SPF’s. I also have more mature, dry, dehydrated skin and only wear Chemical, Korean SPF’s. But I will be trying the Allies of Skin spf. I watched a very interesting video with the Founder of Platnuim talking in depth about the different chemical peels for in home and at a very good pricing. I know I need one in a bad way, but do not want to pay the huge price for in office procedures. I know you’ve done a video on Allies of Skin, but which ones are your Holy Grails. I will be 63 next month,🤫😳. I do use a lot of Medic8 skincare products. But am looking for a great serum for hyperpigmentation. Thank you. Funny you say that....I've been very interested in trying chemical peels but my problem is down-time. They can lead to significant peeling, which is a bit problematic with work. I often have client meetings/pitches/presentations and I haven't been able to figure out how to make it work. Have you tried them?
