It was about 90 Fahrenheit here today, so Christmas lunch was bookended by morning and afternoon runs in the soft sand and swims at the beach- a typical Aussie Christmas, and lots of loving fun with the family. As a heavier runner, the Hyperion Max 2 is awesome for all my speed workouts. The extra but firm foam works great with the plate to propel me forward.

@PhilipWatts-q5r I'm a lighter runner (127lbs) but I still like them for workouts. They feel very squishy and responsive at threshold effort and faster for me.

Brooks really is coming out swinging in 2025. The glycerin 22, hyperion max 3, and hyperion elite 5 look VERY promising. This might be the year to get an all brooks rotation, can't wait. I've also been wondering why you never talk about upcoming shoes

The SL can 100% be a daily trainer. Maybe it isn’t if you have 300 shoes but it’s as versatile as they come.

I ran like 70% of the runs in the Mach 6 this year. Fits TTS, but had to go wide. Length wise i always have a problem with NB shoes where i'm never sure if I want to go half a size up or stay TTS.

I bought the Hoka mach 6 in blue, and the sizing is perfect on my uk12. Maybe it's true about the sizing flaw on the white colour. Merry Christmas, all the best for your running.

I agree on the Hyperion 2 , It is essentually the original Hyperion max but with the improved flash2 midsole. Cracking shoe it works and does not need a plate.

I had a hardtime getting a good lockdown with the Boston 12 without getting lace bite. If you are prone to having upper issues, I’d stay away from Boston 12. I loved the midsole and outsole tho, so it’s unfortunate that the upper didn’t work for me.

Brooks Hyperion is a fantastic speed shoe. I have the Adizero SL2, Saucony Endorphin Speed 3, NB Rebel V4 and the Brooks Hyperion is superior to me . Super lightweight, great pop and comfort all at a great price 👍

Enjoyed the vid, but I don’t get the choices. I’d take DV8 3 for speed training (the point of the video) over Peg Plus or MagicSpeed any day. And for just $10 more, it’s a way better value as a speed trainer than Evo SL, as is Speed 4 and others. Hyperion 2 seems like a great deal at $140; further, stack nearly identical to Peg Turbo, considered a cushy shoe just a few years ago.
