We have an air fryer at home and it actually works way better for french fries and stuff than the oven. Our Oven seems to make the fries soggy but when we use the air fryer they come out crispy and dry which is nice. The problem Alix ran into with her chicken tenders is that the element is right in the top of the oven and I'm pretty sure that baking rack she put in was placed upside down (she used the long handles as legs for the rack) so the one batch was way too close to the heating element and kinda shadowed the lower batch from the heat

This is the first actual review of an air fryer in comparison to an oven and deep fryer that l have seen. As l expected there's not that much difference with either. I loved the host. She made fun. But besides the health benefits, there is the fact they won't heat up your kitchen like an oven. And if you have an electric oven they use a lot of electricity, so you'll save on electricity. That's why l am considering one.

We love our air fryer! Yes, there is a learning curve, and it doesn't always make the best "fried" foods but we like the fact it makes some foods less fatty. Plus, I've found other recipes for the air fryer that are so delicious. Roasted baby carrots are my current fave!

I have the same air fryer. The food cooks faster then an oven. I love it because I don't have to use any sprays or oils to cook the food. Try cooking hot dogs in there. A lot of apartment complexes you can't have a grill on your patio. I feel the taste of hot dogs in the air fryer is way better then a grill

I've had a Ninja Air Fryer years and i can get my tenders SUPER crispy. There's more than enough room on the crisping plate do get at least 6 tenders! No need to layer. i use the rack for dehydrating. My fries always come out super crispy... the machine is only as good as how it's being used, and as good as who is using it.

It's amazing how many people don't know that those bags of processed frozen french fries, are fried in oil already, in a specialized blanching/frying/flash freezing process. So guess what? In my experience, if you toast good panko in a dry pan with just a drizzle of oil and then oven bake whatever you're breading, you get that delicious deep-fried crunchiness without making your kitchen smell like a mcdonalds. It takes like, an extra 3 or 4 minutes and it's worth it imho. You don't necessarily need a gadget. (Thank JustOneCookbook for the tip)
