for any store bought croissants, also several other types of similar pastries, if you put them in the oven or an air fryer if you have one at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for around 5-8 minutes it makes them so so much better and flaky instead of that weird grocery store croissant texture

@@angelika_munkastrap4634 if you're curious about people moving countries, I moved to the UK from the US for six years. It was originally for grad school and then I married an EU citizen and we planned on staying permanently. This is because in my experience the UK is better than the US re: healthcare, working conditions, work/life balance, walkable cities, public transportation, and general quality of life. We've ended up stuck in the US for reasons beyond our control since lockdown, but we're working on getting back to either the UK or an EU country for all those reasons again.

"Too much buttercream!" Ordinarily as a card-carrying American guy I would scoff at your assertion but a memory from young adulthood springs up. I'm nine years older than my younger sister and when she was nine or so she found a can of pre-made buttercream cake frosting in the cupboard after school. Ignoring my warnings, she grabbed a spoon and dug in. Half an hour later she was noisily sick. I have to admit, I grinned. So yes, I am forced to agree that it is possible for there to be too much buttercream. In the right circumstances, of course!

He started this series so should continue it !! 2) yes, the pastries from Costco are always a major let down :( 3) bread options differ I believe, up here in Leeds we have many different sourdough like Wholemeal, baguettes, loafs … 4) the fridged bakes seem to be soo much better than the other stuff, their cheesecakes are great and so is the peach and fruit tart they do in summer 5) their seasonal ranges are decent, Christmas is mince pies, Easter is fruit cakes and so on so on 6) PLEASE, PLEASE make this a whole Costco series .. we need like everything haha, ready meals, frozen items and single products would be great :)

An authentic Red Velvet will always be superior to a mere chocolate cake. The best ones are always made by someone's grandma for the church potluck. Traditionally, they are made with crushed pecans in the frosting and sometimes as a decoration for the top. I believe the next time you visit the USA, you should visit someplace like Charleston, NC or Savannah, Georgia or Fairhope, Alabama. Try some really delicious food cooked from the heart. Honestly, from seafood in Maine to BBQ in Texas; you should get out of the big, gross cities when you come over to the states and really experience the food that the smaller places have to offer. I am sure you and your family will be welcome anytime! Fun video. Big thumbs up!

We LOVE the apple streusel muffins and my son's absolute favorite apple pie is the GIANT Costco apple pie with the lattice top and crunchy bits of sugar. At Thanksgiving, the pumpkin pies FLY out of the case!!! Theres a time-lapse video, somewhere of the pumpkin pies being stocked and quickly disapearing. Iconic! I actually quite enjoy the muffins. Usually I buy the choc chip and latte/walnut ones. Occasionally, the blueberry ones. They have a good texture and are better than typical supermarket versions. Also, I find the muffins less intimidating than the giant cakes, easier to cut into small pieces and keep for later. I find the big cakes just too big. (The sheet cake with frosting is actually quite tasty, but a bit too big to handle). The mini Victoria sponges with fresh cream are quite good. They also do a nut cluster (cashews) thing in a tub in the bakery and it’s like crack 😂 I found the cookies OK and the shortbread and brownies meh. I’ve never tried the pastries bc I’m too fussy about pastries and don’t think they look good. The profiteroles are meh.
