Cats pass on clever test!😁 One situation was when you hid Marshall's toy seemed he found it and looked at you to get it for him.😂 How my cat reacts to mirrors...not only does she stare at herself, but when I walk just into the doorway of the bathroom when she's on the counter, and I call her name, she doesn't turn her head to look directly at me, but looks at me in the mirror!😮

Leela def passed the hidden toy part! Through manipulation of the human! Also My Sphynx Andromeda would fail most of these miserably... she fell asleep with her head under a tablet with bird TV on, she doesn't understand the most simplest of puzzles, and the list goes on... guess that light light tuft of orange on her ears really sucked up all the braincells!

The dog toy (the 4-corner motorized one) demonstrated very well that while Marshall is your little MENSA boi, Leela has an exceptionally high physical IQ, and excels in hunting and athletics. Both valuable traits. But the wall-smoosh test? Not actually an IQ test; that's a _trust_ test. A cat that doesn't 100% trust you, will put their paws up onto the wall and push back. A cat that fully and unreservedly trusts you will be a smoosh; they're trusting that you would never hurt them.

The string test is basically the kitty version of the dogs “blanket over their head/body to see how fast they can get out” intelligence tests and then they time it. Both of my dogs are on the struggle bus, one that I dont have anymore used to just sit there and wait. My male tries, but he ineffectively flails it around while simultaneously getting it more stuck on his big fat head. My current female sits, wait, and then slowly moves to poke her head out, once she gets her nose out its mission complete for her. I don’t mind though. I prefer dumb dogs. Not so dumb you can’t teach them anything, but dumb enough that they think they can’t get away with being “bad.” Once, my husband and I miscommunicated about taking him out and he hadn’t been out in like +12 hours (we lived in an. Alt then and HAD to walk him.) I hear a whine I’ve never heard before from the other room, and I see him stuck in what seemed to be the biggest pee in his life. I didn’t react, the moment by eyes rounded the corner he already this forlorn look on his face, and he made that whine again and had the biggest appeasement smile I’ve ever seen on him. I have never heard that whine again and it’s been about 10 years since then.. the only way I can describe-it was like he was saying “oh god I’m a bad boy.” That was the first accident he had inside. He is a big stickler. I can count on one hand the number of times he’s had a pee in the house, and one of those he was steroids and had just been out the hour before.
