You failed to say Proton offers a free VPN that works just fine ( of course you didn't mentioned it ) ...Also , Proton has a router configuration , where you can have all your traffic go thru without have a app on each device....

Yes proton offers a free tier but the location cant be chosen and it automatically sets to the nearest location, you can randomize it every 2 min or so but its always the same pattern
