My 83 yo mother is currently lying in hospital with kidney failure. Jesus is with me, Jesus is with my mother. We accept God's plan. I know every single place where you stopped off, Jimmy. JR is a sweetheart! That’s the car wash my sis and I go to. 😁 I grew up in Barstow and although I’ve lived around the world, as the saying goes, “You always return to Barstow.” It can be a blessing for some and a curse to others as it depends on what kind of decisions you make in life. I returned home to Barstow to take care of my parents who both now have passed away. I am the caretaker of my sister who is disabled. We have rescued our pets and I’ve trained our dogs to be service dogs for my sister (and my father as a veteran before he passed away). Just like JR mentioned, I was never involved in drugs and volunteered 1.5 years of my life as a proselyting and medical missionary in the Pueblo’s and Amazon of Bolivia as well as in other states in the US. I am glad you are highlighting our town and the good people here. Side note: just like my mom and her 10 brothers and sisters along with her parents, there was an exodus of families that left New Mexico to come to California and settled in Barstow. There are three military bases here and nearby and people not only came for the gold rush but also to work on the railroad and on the military bases. Family is so important and I don’t regret coming back home. Time is way too short and you really don’t know when God will ask for his sons and daughters to return home. My mother’s birthday is at the end of this month and this clip sparks the good memories I shared with her as we volunteered together in helping out others in our community. Take care and for those that may also be grieving, may you be surrounded with love and good memories, when times get rough. 🙏🏽🤍 God bless!

I had a doctor's appointment 3 weeks ago for a CT scan. I was told that I have a tumor on my left temperal lobe, they didn't tell me the size, they just said that they caught it early enough that they are going to try medication first which is some kind of steroid that starts now (I have the medication) and have an appointment with a Neurologist in June.
