I think adding a little heat spreader is possible to solve the thermal throttling issue, it seems to have enough space

Yes, it's an easy solution. I just hope that the developers add it from the factory since most people don't want to open the case. I know that it's essentially an SBC, so the focus is towards the tech enthusiasts market, but I have the feeling that Banana Pi wants to cover a wider audience with this device.

​@@SamBondor yea a newer ax device is preferable as mikrotik is such a configurable device and has had a bad wrap on wifi performance for a long time, they have made a push to rectify the perception in recent years.
