It has potential. If players weren’t able to activate them, then you could throw them down and secure an area with less worry about friendly fire, unless someone shoots them or an enemy triggers one. Ironically that would make them the best mines overall in terms of safety, despite the reputation, and you’d have a defensive stratagem that doesn’t trigger enemy patrols from a distance unlike the sentries. But they do need a damage buff as well. Or at least a CD reduction.

Problems the Mines (all of them) have: * Susceptible to Environmental factors. Fire Tornadoes, Tremors and similar environmental effects will detonate your mines. Some make sense but earthquakes wiping your fields? * Enemy ragdoll. When an enemy is killed by a mine, their corpse will roll through the field setting off any mine it touches. Making it 1 kill but losing up to 10 mines in the process. Horribly inefficient. * Chain reactions. Sometimes the mines themselves will set each other off wiping away a majority of the mines in a drop because of one detonation. * Friendly fire. We've all experienced it. Mines are more likely to kill a teammate than the enemy patrols you would be using them for. I say mines need a new dispenser system to protect the mines from unwanted detonations/chain reactions while being more efficient. Maybe similar to the IMS system many would be familiar with seen in Call of Duty or some other top fire mine.

Not only enemies, but only heavy stuff (Big enemies, but also EXOs, vehicles if we ever get those) instead, that way we dont waste a mine on a single scavenger when there's a charger behind it.

Also have the AOE blast straight up so that one mine doesn’t accidentally trigger other mines in the field

I think it makes sense that titans are immune, from a gameplay perspective. I do however think that only tanks should trigger them, I think in HD1 anyone could trigger them, but it made more sense because people used them against the boss and it was really, really strong, so accidentally stepping on them was a valid punishment.

@@doctorhealsgood5456 I haven't used them much yet. I'm HD1 they weren't like "Whoa~", but remember, the boss was tanking dozens of them. They couldn't be Too strong, but they were still super useful. All that damage against one enemy.

They're still useful they're like the normal mines but with a lot more damage. They still need to be improved upon though.

@@voldartthesorcerer9490 Indeed, but these mines outright destroy anything that touches them. irl AT mines need 60kg or more of pressure on the plate to activate the detonator. They can also be set to detonate under various circumstances other than first contact.

I understand people are frustrated it’s not realistic, but having fun is more important. Having the mines not detonate until stepped off is fun because it makes cool gameplay moments, for example you step on the mine and drop your backpack on it to escape. Also it’s a bit hypocritical considering people were just getting mad at arrowhead for making fire more realistic instead of being fun. But I definitely do understand where people are coming from

i think the developers are morons. first, they tell people to take cover against bots, but they failed to make sure there's no surface clipping and phasing in-game, which makes the bots can shoot through cover and your shots can hit invisible things. Now, they make anti-tank mines that can get triggered by players and light enemies.

Why they made Bile Titans have only one subset of weapons (airstrikes and I guess support weapons half-count) be functional against them is extremely aggravating. It sucks if you want to have fun and bring these nearly useless stratagems when you can just bring the ones that actually do something against multiple enemy types, often better than these even perform at their role.

thats a bit to much. killing a charger in 1-2 ok. (isnt not but it should be) a strider... yeah no, the whole thing for a strider i can accept that also doing effectively nothing to bile titans is right on point because these big bastards are way to tall for them to be effective and barely have a footprint so a leg getting injured a bit isn't much
