The X-T50 is my first camera and I love it so much.

That's great to hear! What do you like most about it ?

At higher ISOs, notice that the X-S20 retains more detail and color in the images than X-T50 (despite what the video says - see for yourself)

True, I changed from photo to photo, though. Therefore, I mention I had more noise than (I) expected. Well spotted, though :)

I noticed that too

It is a song called 'Snow Fall' by 'Nylon & Cedar'. It is stockmusic from Audiio. Check out the description for the url :)

For the testing of image quality to be more rigorous, perhaps you should swap the two XF F4 lens, to make sure that the difference in image quality is not due to a better sample of XF F4 (used in X-T50 in this testing).

I agree, but it is what I had available and could get from Fujifilm at the time (as they send me gear to test). Two of the same lenses are better, than two different lenses (which happened before as well).

@@cameradeals I mean you should put lens #1 on XS20, and lens #2 on T50, take some photos and video, then swap them (lens #2 on XS20, and lens #1 on T50), and take more photos and video. If T50 gives slightly better image quality before and after swapping, then it is due to the higher sensor pixels, not due to variation in lens quality (even if they are the same lens model, you know there is this thing called lens lottery). More hassles yes, but the testing would be more rigorous.

You're absolutely right, that would be a better way. But like you said: it'll take even more time, and it were to only fuji lenses I had available. Plus, important. Taking them at the same time, with the same settings, it makes sure you have the exact same photo. That is still better to compare, I think. :) I'd like to note I'm spending weeks on testing, researching, scripting, filming, and editing. And I do it as best as I can. :). I know you didn't call me out, but I thought it would be good to know. Thanks for your advise, though. Much appreciated! 😄

I am struggling to choose between the Sony A6700, X-S20, and X-T50 for mostly photo & some video - this video helps me a lot, thank you :) I really like the X-T50 size and the new 16-50 lens they made, it seems very portable. The others look more bulky to carry. But I also edit *everything* extensively in Lightroom so the presets and sim dial are not useful to me at all, which makes Sony more appealing (plus the AF and weather seal). What would you recommend btwn those 3 assuming they would all be around the same price in my area?

Hi! Happy to hear it helped you. If the Sony A6700 is as expensive as the rest (including a good lens), I wouldn't choose that one. The new Fujifilm XF 16-50mm II is really sharp and lighter that the previous version (see my X-M5 review). Only choose the Xt50 if you really need those 40mp, else it is not worth it in your case. The Xs20 would be a better fit then, I think. Did you see my XS20 vs A6700 review? kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXmZgIOraqmmlbc Hope this helps!
