I doubt anyone has a hair dryer without that safety system. It is illegal for them to be produced without them and this has been the standard for decades. It's necessary because hair dryers will shut down even when using them normally for too long, which is something I've had to deal with that issue when using them in projects to speed up something drying. The closer you hold the hair dryer to the thing you're trying to dry, the faster it will overheat and shut down. The reason is that air has to flow from one end to another. The effect is the same whether you block it from the front or block it from the back.

9:07 Correcting a few stuff here. First of all having the inside hotter would only make the pressure inside higher. Secondly, that happens because fire needs oxygen to continuously burn as the oxygen use up the pressure decreases, pulling in the water around it to about 20% of he volume since that's how much oxygen in the bottle and atmosphere.

The reason for water rising is due to paraffin binging burnt. Paraffin in carbohydrates like higher form of CnHm. And reaction is like CnHm + O2 --> CO2 + H2O. Resulting in more water formation. And if u let it cool after the O2 is used the volume of air decreases, increasing the water level again.

About the battery light bulb one: In the first clip, they connected positive terminals of the batteries to both positive and negative terminal of the light bulb, which means, there's no way for electricity to flow. In the 2nd clip, they've connected the terminals right(except for the 2 positive terminals touching together, that doesn't do anything in this case), but there's still no closed circuit, They'd have to connect the free terminals together to close the circuit (and turn the bottom battery around, so the positive terminal touches the negative terminal). So basically just running the batteries in serial connection to increase voltage to a higher amount. I've made a light bulb run on 60V from serially connected 9V batteries.

A normal incandescent bulb will work with either AC or DC as it is just electricity going through a filament and it doesn't matter if the electricity is alternating or not. An LED bulb on the other hand is designed to be used with AC and probably won't work with DC.

8:15 - the hairdryer isn't broken, it's just a fail safe that shuts down the dryer if its airflow is poor or it gets too hot. The spark is normal when safety engages, leave it for a few minutes and it will work again.

Hair dye doesnt really dye dark hair that well so you need to blonde/bleach the hair first but anyway, great video!

You're supposed to strip the color out of your hair before you use that kind of hair dye. I used to use it all the time when I was younger. There is/was a product called seventh stage I used to use to strip all of the pigment out of my hair before putting the blue gel dye in. Since the bright colors like this usually only come in a one-part semi-permanent dye they generally do not have the same developer and other ingredients that let it really chemically replace your current hair color. So you have got to get rid of the current color first and start with it as light as you possibly can. On top of bleaching or stripping your hair first, It's also best if your hair is as dried out as possible when you put the gel dye in (the blue stuff) And then you always want to let it sit for a little bit longer than the bottle says, and then without rinsing you add conditioner first and a lot of conditioner run that through and then rinse lightly WITHOUT ANY SHAMPOO AT ALL and dry it thoroughly with a towel that you don't care about because it will shed some dye for the first few times you wash your hair. That's just how those semi-permanent dyes are. It will also shed a little bit anytime you use hairspray or any alcohol based hair product or anything particularly acidic or corrosive or that "opens up" your hair (kinda like how heat opens up your pours) a lot... The light bulb and battery one doesn't work because the circuits are not closed/connected, the voltage issue is secondary to that, but without a closed circuit, the electric field can't extend and flow. Additionally, even if they were connected, you had all of the positive ends of the batteries in contact with the light bulb so the batteries orientations would have prevented the circuit from being closed, so either the batteries touching the bottom would need to be flipped or both the batteries on the sides. Regardless, still not enough voltage.

The marker trick is kinda true. Yellow and green highlighters are very visible under blue filtered light (much more so than in regular light) which stage technicians use to for example make notes behind the stage where we can only have a little bit of blue light. Yellow light would often be visible to the audience. It's a bit different between different highlighters though how well you can see them, and I have never tried diluting one...

6:23 well it has noting to do with the atmospheric pressure as it doesn't depends on the surface area. The real concept behind it is the viscose force or the air drag with depends on the area. 7:13 it doesn't work because the circuit is not closed in the first place. Even if we use 220V ac and connects its one terminal, it still wont work

9:05 I think that happens not because the heat decreases the air pressure, its because the fire while burning uses up the oxygen hence decreasing the air pressure. (in fact, heat would INCREASE the air pressure because it makes the air inside expand)

For the candle TikTok, we did a similar experiment in science class. It was boiling water in a 12oz can(small amount) making the can fill with steam replacing the cool oxygen. Then we dunked the van into cold water(opening first) which makes the water vapor holding up the can condense therefore making the can collapse on itself and crush. It was really cool but I had to wait like 15 min for the water to start steaming on a hot plate
