i love how you are realistic in the sense that you make substitutions with what you have access too and still show that the recipe will work. sometimes im only missing one or two things and get frustrated but that doesnt mean u cant make a tasty meal 😋

I think I would love all 3 of them. I've been cooking, preserving foods and gardening for over 50 years. One of my younger hip chicky friends can bake well but she doesn't know how to cook well. I've been saving videos for her to learn by and will go to her house for a 2 day crash course of cooking freezer meals. Hands downs, your videos are the winners so far. Thanks for what you do.💞👏

Thanks, Kristen, I love that you did this for us. Safety note: the handles on the skillet you used for the Stroganoff are falling off (which I'm sure you've noticed). If there aren't screws to tighten them up, it's time to retire that pan: you don't want it to fall apart while it's full of food and you're lifting it.

I'm going to try the Chicken Orzo tonight, but adding a little more chicken stock. It looks like (in the tik tok) she used wine to deglaze then more chicken stock to come to a boil. I didn't see that step in yours video. Super excited to try.
@Lucinda_Jackson2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t watch the video - I’d rather walk on hot coals than watch TikTok videos! 😂 So I just went to the website and found the recipe and it only calls for 1/3 cup wine and no chicken broth. I think Kristen said she saw the recipe on the website, too, so maybe it was changed up a bit for the video? Maybe it just needs to be played by ear with some extra broth added if needed. 💕 I just realized you said you were trying it - how did it go? I’m giving it a try tomorrow! ETA: Okay, now I’m feeling like an idiot! I just read the ingredient list before to be sure I had everything, but it suddenly hit me - what liquid was cooking the orzo? When I read through the rest of the recipe, it has you adding 1 1/2 cups of water and bringing to a boil.

I love Beef Stroganoff. The funny thing is my family always used ground beef and I was probably 30yrs old before I realized it was supposed the be made with steak. I still prefer ground beef though.
@SixSistersStuff2 жыл бұрын
Haha!! Ground beef is a game changer!
@sidneyvandykeii31692 жыл бұрын
@@SixSistersStuff Its the amount of Browning you can do to the Ground beef and its still tender. Steak gets tough the longer you brown it. I am thinking about using my Wok to Quickly cook the beef like I do with beef and broccoli. Throw it into the sauce as its served....but, I digress...I love ground beef in stroganoff, tacos, spaghetti and even for a paddy in a French Dip Sandwich. Delicious.
