Although box openings and first time use reviews have their place these longer term reviews are worth their weight in gold for people looking for some more reliable data points before buying. Thanks.

Great video! Looks like a pretty standard but good tent. The two doors is a nice touch though to me, a 2 man tent is really a 1 man tent so I'm not sure how much I would use them personally. I'm not big but I like to spread out a bit. Also it looks like this was filmed on a gorgeous evening! I'm up in CT and I'm already kind of dreading the shortening days and cooler nights leading up to a New England winter. So I love to see those beautiful warm Texas evenings while I dream of summer coming around again.

I like the format and setup, but I need more mesh. Your region of Texas is a little dryer than my area in North central Texas and the humidity here is a little higher. I currently use the Lanshan 1 and 2 series tents.

Like your showbut, did you live in it continuously for two years, or just camping trips, what people today call "survival" channels, are really just camping shows..The guys who actually live in the backcountry full time are the real deal and they are humble about it. I work on a ranch for years, my job was to search , gather, and move cows around the Colorado backcountry. We would be in the saddle from 8am until sundown, 24/7. Lived outside, or in a small log cabin, no electricity, we never used tents, there are better ways. All the gadgets and ho ha on these shows, not necessarily yours, must be a city slicker thing, hobby type I guess. Learn to live with less ,...youll have a much better time. Maybe it is an industry thing, all these pretend this and that scenarios, I am all for learning the basics, it just feels like play acting...Theres a huge difference between reality and fantasy. Want the real thing , quit your job and go live in the mountains for a year or so, then one can call it "survival" . It is a good channel, but call it what it really is, more authentic

@@MaxSand-i4n well I appreciate the comment and insight, and to be clear, I’ve not lived in this tent for 2 years straight, I have a home like most folks watching. But I’m outside at least 3 days out of the week on average and as such, I’m confident in my findings. Now as far as “survival” and all that, I never mentioned, I’m literally explaining my experience on a tent I’ve used for camping, in several places, habitats and seasons. No one shelter system will be bombproof in some universal way. What works for arctic won’t work for desert, but that’s a conversation outside this one tent review.
