Verse 1: I thought we had something special But now I'm left here feeling so forgettable You said you needed space and time But now I see you out with someone else, it's such a crime Chorus: You broke my heart, you tore it apart I thought we had forever, but you had a change of heart I gave you everything, I laid it on the line But now I'm left here with nothing but this heart of mine Verse 2: I remember all the late nights we spent talking Sharing our dreams, making plans and never stopping But now it's like you never knew me at all And I'm left here picking up the pieces of my fall Chorus: You broke my heart, you tore it apart I thought we had forever, but you had a change of heart I gave you everything, I laid it on the line But now I'm left here with nothing but this heart of mine Bridge: I can't help but wonder what I did wrong Why did you have to lead me on for so long? I wish I could turn back time and make things right But now I'm left here all alone, crying every night Chorus: You broke my heart, you tore it apart I thought we had forever, but you had a change of heart I gave you everything, I laid it on the line But now I'm left here with nothing but this heart of mine Outro: I'll try to move on, I'll try to be strong But I know I'll never forget where I belong In your arms, in your heart, in your soul But now I'm just a memory, a story you'll never be told.

PRO TIP - CHURCH BELL: 1. Find the twelfth fret 2. Carefully cross desired strings (G and B preferred) over each other near the 12th fret 3. Using a free finger on the fretting hand, clamp pressure over the newly crossed strings - leaving around a quarter-inch gap between the overlapped strings at the 12th fret. 4. Your fretted hand now holds the starting point of the overlapping part of the strings. There's one more: 5. Lastly, visually locate where the strings create an elongated X-shape in their path-crossing. 6. With your other hand, pick or finger exactly over the X-shaped area where the strings cross. The result is a chimey, bell-like tone with a unique over-tonal character. BONUS. If you want to make your guitar sound like a Clarinet, simply play your fretted notes exactly 12 Frets (an octave) above your passage for each individual note. The result is a nasally, lower-mid bodied tone with a pseudo-airy quality - also like a sine wave depending on your touch and instrument.

@antjamnow1286 Жыл бұрын
@@Chicksquid Sure! Play a Pentatonic scale with your fretting hand, and pick the same shape of the Pentatonic scale you are fingering with your fretting hand - but pick the shape of the Pentatonic scale exactly an Octave above the fretting hand. That help?

For the church bell guitar sound, dont be afraid of the strings snapping because those strings can take a whole lot of bending and stretching before they snap. For a cleaner sound spin it until the pick stays parallell to the guitar and also slide it as it is to the 12th fret (at least this is how I do it and it works every time). Then, with the pick in position you can just pick it normally and It will sound like a clean bell every time.

How far we've fallen... "Use a glass jar as a slide" is a tiktok hack now? It's been common practice in music for as long as it's been recorded plus probably a few hundred years. I don't mean some hard to find blues musicians either, like Mississippi Fred McDowell, I'm talking mainstream Duane Alman of the Alman Brothers famously used a coricidin bottle as a slide. Derek Trucks, one of the most famous slide players alive uses one as well.
