Tbh if you understand the genre, time signatures don’t really make all that big of a difference. I love doing 5/4 boom bap beats

if you know how to write in a time signature it's applicable to basically every genre, so I think adding a rule that the time signature has to frequently change would make sure it's a proper challenge

I hear nothing but a good clean take, some compression, some reverb, and just his natural voice tone. Maaaaybe a little pitch correction going weird when his vocal tone got more distorted so it didn't have a pitch to latch onto so it got warbly like that. Edit: listening again it's definitely autotune trying to catch a pitch so it goes warbly/vibrato like that. It happens later too.
