Thanks for watching guys! These hearings are used to gather evidence and testimonies to later use in Congress/Court against the ATF. Whether it’s to block their actions, or cut their funding, hopefully this makes a small difference. And hopefully inspires you all to get more active as well!

I found ATF director's response when he was confronted by Jim Jordan and other Congress members about the no-knock warrant in Arkansas maddening. He could barely apologize to the man's widow and had the audacity to say that the homeowner had shot an ATF agent. Of course he did! No knock, no announcement, cut off the electricity, what were they expecting? They could have executed the search warrant a week earlier when he wasn't home but chose to wait until 6:00 in the morning when he was home. And no body cameras. Absolute corruption!

I mean that's kind of where we've arrive. Congress grinds itself to a halt over trivial issues, unless we fix how our congress functions and stop all of the BS where they can just avoid voting and deliberating then we kind of need federal agencies to pick up the slack. Otherwise we'll never be able to write laws to combat modern issues and problems.

Big governments require lots of highly autonomous and unelected officials to function. Most of their functions can be done privately for less cost, and no taxpayer money will be spent on stuff that other people want. "I get messages from (...) Young People watching movies like John Wick & games, they are getting interested in 'gun culture' and firearms (...) They want a shotgun or assault rifle, when they turn 18. They are worried, that they won't be able to." Thanks to You Tube, I have witnessed most stupid and insane pro firearms scene I have ever seen. @Herrera has actually used argument that kids pumped up by movies like John Wick should have chance to go to weapons store and buy their first riffle! Seriously? John Wick which is a 'violence-porn' where across first 2 movies over 198 individuals are killed. And across the three movies to date, there has been a kill on average every 1 minute and 11 seconds of the franchise. Christ! and this argument was backed by real US Senators. Is that a sad joke? @Herrera preaches about gun culture, for the young, in a country where school shootings happen every few months. We don't have that problem in Europe, maybe because don't have a gun culture either. In fact, it is not any culture, nor right, but just another business. See who is the most active defender of the right to own, bear firearms? those who trade or gain other profits from firearms trade (like running YT channel about guns).

@Fred-oi7tb The ATF tried to redefine certain firearms and attempted to make collapsible pistol brace stocks illegal for certain firearms. Claimed those were used by a lot of criminals and by making pistol braces illegal, this would cut down on crime. Which is ridiculous!! The ATF tried to enforce this without a law being passed by Congress. This caused panic, and many gun buisnesses started relocating to different states due to it affecting their business. This would have made law-abiding citizens into criminals. This was a clear overreach of power by the ATF, and they need to be held accountable for it.

@@johncitizen5130 cause unlike guns. Both Alcohol and Tobacco, especially alcohol, mess with you mind. Which often leads to you to do stupid things. Like we delt with Drunks. We all know how stupid, conflictation they are. And how IMPAIRED they are in decisions making. Which leads to them doing stuff that they will not do sober. Like say... Drive down a subern street going 80 in a 30 hitting people or cars causing more damage then guns can every do? More people die to drunk driving then shottings you know. Or shot people cause they looked at them funny. Drunkness leads to far more issues then guns ever can. So it needs some regulation to keep the idiots inline. Tobacco is more there to keep the companies inline. Those morons are known to put stuff like Arsenic and Cyanide into their tobacco products for tge tastes. Some alcohol companies are also known to do similar as well. But that been known to kill people or make them go blind. So the government needs to step in to keep those idiots inline cause they cant be trusted and have a proven track record of such. And while I do beleve some guns regulations are need, like how convicted Felons are not allowed guns. Or the 4 day waiting period, that make sense as well cause that often helps stop suicides since those are often impulse buys and that waiting period is often enough for them to get over it. But how its done Now with the ATF is so not the way to do it. Especially since they good off of looks instead of effectiveness. Which is in addition to the various moronic regs like background checks screwing over the deals when it shows that the buyers are good. When another one shows that said buyer isnt good, and instead of the Background Checking agency getting punish its the Dealer who was trying to follow the law. Or randomly changing meanings making millions of actual law abiding citizens who just want guns for fun at the range, not law abiding.... You see the issue.

@SangerZonvolt
@SangerZonvolt Жыл бұрын
So I have been going through these comments and as a European I am kinda having trouble getting into the mindset. So could you maybe help me? If you americans are so freedom loving, then why is the main theme always weapons? Why isnt it stuff that actually contributes to freedom and democracy, like having a multi party political system instead of partisan fights with no real alternatives? Or have real independent news? Or one of the other dozen topics that make you rank below a few dozen countries in the freedom score?
@jaebush
@jaebush Жыл бұрын
@@SangerZonvolt when we refer to freedom, we mean smaller government, less government, overreach, and more individual rights, and liberties to the citizens. People have to remember that America is a somewhat unique country when it comes down to our constitution and bill of rights. Our constitution and bill of rights are not given to us by the government. In fact, it is a restriction on the government. And out of all of the rights that we have in the constitution, the second amendment is the one under attack the most, and by many Americans eyes it’s the most important because it protects the rest of our rights and guarantees our natural born right to self-defense whether that be against a small time criminal all the way up to government tyrants. In most countries, the citizens have gave all their power to the government and the government has the power to give and take away your rights. Us in America are constantly pushing back against our government from having such power. Our government is too big as it is, and we have too many alphabet agencies with too much power themselves. All the other things that you mentioned are commonly discuss amongst us freedom loving Americans, especially about the media, and the corrupted two party system. We do have independent news. The only thing is that you have to go online to get it and we do have more than just two parties, but the Democrats and Republicans has set forth rules that makes it harder for any third-party to actually grow, especially on a nationwide scale. I am neither Democrat nor Republican I am a member of the libertarian party, which is a third-party.
@SangerZonvolt
@SangerZonvolt Жыл бұрын
@@jaebush I mean I know that there are third parties but lets be real those have zero influence. And its kinda interesting to me how americans act like their situation is special in the wrong way. Like your constitution is limiting the government? So is the constitution of Germany. The constitution in america is not special in the regard. And I would argue that the government has power over the people in both countries, but in the US the checks and balances dont work. So the situation is already worse and the US is more vulnerable to tyranny. Guns dont help with that imo. Government overreach is debatable in a lot of cases anyway. What counts as overreach? Police interfering with gang wars could be seen as overreach by those gangs, yet I think we both agree that those gangsters should not be allowed to use guns against police to fight that "overreach". Where the line is is highly subjective. As I understand it guns are a means to an end to defend against the government for you, right? Could you tell me a specific scenario where you think it would be ok to take up arms and how guns would help in that scenario?
@jaebush
@jaebush Жыл бұрын
@@SangerZonvolt a lot of what you mentioned is true and is the reason why we are so adamant about freedom. The current government has only allowed the two party system in order to maintain control because the end of the day Democrats and Republicans aren’t facts two sides of the same coin. Yes, our constitution is a restriction on the government. That’s why I start with ”We The People”. And yes, our government has more power than they are supposed to, but that is because IMO previous generations allowed the government to grow to the point where they consistently violate our constitution and the rights of the citizens. One example of government overreach by the current presidential administration is the increase of IRS agents to monitor citizens, bank accounts and transactions of $600 or more so they can “tax us accordingly”. Another example by this current administration is the way they are using the ATF to shut down FFL’s(gun dealers) over small clerical errors, whereas in the past it would have been a small slap on the wrist. Not to mention when a FFL is shut down the government. seizes all of the records. We could even talk about “Red flag laws” which violates multiple rights in our Bill of Rights. The ATF comes knocking on your door and question you about exercising a second amendment, right and asking to see which guns you have purchased. We got government officials in certain states that threaten to take away your children if you don’t refer to them as their self assigned pronoun. We have the FDA that wants people to register their gardens so they could know what kind of food that you grow. I can go on and on about what us freedom, loving Americans would consider government overreach because it is such a broad topic everything from violating the individuals privacy all the way to the EPA dictating how I can modify my personal vehicle. I know in some European countries a lot of what we consider government overreach is the norm and y’all look at it as not a big deal. As far as a scenario where we would need to take up arms is any scenario where the government becomes tyrannical and attempts to violate our rights with force. Another good example of a scenario to look up is the Battle of Athens from 1946. We are not just going to roll over and take it if the government becomes tyrannical, which is why we are so adamant on keeping our bearable arms. Will there be people here in America that would voluntarily give up their rights and submit to tyranny sure but there are also plenty of us that would not.
