Nah beast isnt as good this format, cards you draw have lesser priority, if you play the full shaddoll lineup then its much better with tripple hedgehog for the constant adding of new shaddolls to your hand, especially if you run the 50 or 60 card version with lots of lightswords or shaddolls

@@NeostormXLMAX in a normal shaddoll build maybe, but I have much more high impact draws beyond just Shaddoll Fusions like the 4 chaos boss monsters and 5 extenders as well as burst rebirth being a blowout (and always drawing shadow games is good too). My win condition isn't simply just fusing for Construct. You also always want beast access in the mirror to remove your own fusions otherwise you're giving your opponent free value from Shaddoll Fusion.

Really good analysis of the format. I'd been playing stick chair shaddolls but not really knowing and understanding what ppl played back then i kind of made it bad and ghetto while also incorporating some dirty stuff like mask change ii into dark law and stein to summon exterio cause i happen to have stein and i wanted to pull him out for another drive after his demise in modern. I'll probably try out the ls version after how good your explanation of the value you get off of milling with raiden so much. edit: did people try to monk into stick chair? since i just realised that would be a way to guarantee 3 material off 1 card without you having to draw a stick + chair minimum

Had fun playing Harpie this event, even beat Shaddoll with it. Would have been nice to have a bit more time to experiment with Harpie and play some Dark Paladin control and Blue-Eyes Spellbook (which I was playing much more at this time), as I really did not invest into Harpie until Harpist released and the Dragon Rulers were banned (and thus no reason to play Dark Paladin control anymore).

Black Luster is in one of the structure decks so for 500 Gems you can get that without crafting/pulling.

The variety of decks in this format was not there. But aside from shaddoll i like the tempo. Soul charge busted but i feel like the xyz decks wouldn’t be able to make any worthwhile plays without it

When I added the Lightsworn engine to my deck, this became insane. Never seen Burst Rebirth before, what a great card for the deck. Having multiple Winda and Construct with Super Poly is pretty neat. Loving this Duel Trial, I have yet to lose a game :)

I would spend resources in making some of these older cards if this was a permanent format but you can't even select to play this format in a duel room. I have 10k gems just sitting there because i dont wanna make any of the upcoming cards.

I only ever craft up to SR cards for these (I don't care about royal hunting) and I find playing within some limitations itself quite enjoyable. Obviously it's just a casual event so there's no real harm of playing suboptimal decks (and rewarding to know you built a better deck than people with more resources than you have)

Here chilled with Photons/Galaxy and then Photon Sanctuary + Vanity Rulers the legacy packs gave me and some trap holes and its done

I finished my 3 wins with a watered down Nurse Burn deck where my first 2 wins my opponents surrendered and my 3rd win was vs heroes who used A Hero Lives. This is not counting how many surrenders I made for an hour or two. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nicely done. I didn't like borrowing decks because there were too few things you could do. The only deck I had was hieratic and that deck is to brick. Do you have any good tips on how to improve it for the 2014 event.

Shaddoll was THEE deck that introduced the theory of inevitability into yugioh, games could just end like that decks needed to faster and more degenerate to stop this
