Tried the ice barrier loaner. Wasn't too hard to learn, combos start with revealer sending mirror mage and wayne to gy. Opened the first 10 pack after 2-3 matches. Kinda fun to play but i don't see it holding up in ranked

Floo is the best deck, even with the hits, but is painfully inconsistent. Sometimes you just lose 5 games in a row from shit hands, even with all the hidden gems like that normal summon trap card. Evenly claps way too hard imo

90% of my games were vs ice barrier. I only saw 3 wind decks and they were the loaner. Mourner was good against my ghoti deck. They kept negating my quick effect syncro plays. Rude. I felt like climbing was easy for me with ghoti just because it is a pet deck for me and I knew how to drive and a lot of my opponents seemed like they did not know how to play their deck. Lots of mistakes. For fun I also made a super budget Spiral deck and still went undefeated. Was kind of surprised.

If you really want a Field Spell that leaves a disruption I would recommend more "Future Visions" it is the anti Floowonder tech card

Tested both borrow decks ice barrier and speedroid had no success with those decks. Then I used my shark armor deck and it went better.

Imo Umi Control would only be worth it in this event as a hybrid variant (probably Sharks), to be able to go into Kragen Control against Water decks. Having Kragen and A Legendary Ocean would make it pretty good.

Is Number 3: Cicada King or Gossip Shadow better for this event? I also took out Mourner. Played against Floo and Ice Barrier. Useless. Even though I didn't have it against floo.

Nah not really like it i prefer playing more back removal because god forbid this deck facing backrow, plus the quick play is more than enough for more corner cases, while at it play multiple Tempest also work wonders.

@Angels-Haven probably my bias since I haven't played against many Ice Barrier decks and none gave me a problem. On the other hand, I've played against a ton of Majespecter and their boards are harder for me (speedroid) to deal with with their backrow and destruction/targeting protection.

@Angels-Haven their omni negate is searchable as shown in this video and not once per turn so they can set up 2 going first. The cost to activate the Trap is to tribute any wind spellcaster so to go around it you have to take out their full untargetable/indestructible monster board. Idk man, might be my bias like I said since I play more against Majespecter and they give me the hardest time especially going 2nd. Most decks in this event can only do 2-3 interruptions tops with very few in archetype omni negates.

Got all the gems with my budget speedroid version (no clear wings because ur) crafted a chevalier de fleur for the spell/trap negate, during my turn, it was horrible. Got to play budget gusto too,ice barrier and speedroid loaner. Can't complain, well designed low power event

Luckily I held onto Majesty Pegasus, this deck is dirt cheap thanks to that. I only kept one Ryu, but I've seen lists on one, so I'll just tell myself it will never come up.

If you use the Vaylantz field spell, is there a way to pop it during your turn so that the opponent doesnt utilize their effects?

Pop any monster they try to summon in your Ryu zone since that's the only monster they can target.

Yeah, the turn player can use both of them, but I thought since the protection effect from Majespecter monsters are from opponent's card effects, so if Kong Wissen is on our side of the field, wouldn't it technically be our card effect rather than the opponent?

I tried a few decks and then the ice barrier loaner. Wasn't really having success. Then I decided to make an event friendly version of my Floo deck, and I didn't realize how strong it is in this event. Absolutely demolished all the gem ranks in about an hour and a half, and went on a 10 win streak. After that. Definitely underestimated it, even with the banned cards still very viable.

Droll is also funny with Gossip Shadow since you can sometimes trigger Droll early by turning their first monster effect into a draw 1.

Summon Breaker is the field spell of choice for me. It's either farmed me easy wins off of the illiterate or I've seen people try to be cute and make Dragite summon no. 3 only to walk into one of my counter-traps when they try to stop the field spell.

You use Ryu to summon Pegasus on your opponents turn. You can still do it with Majespecter Wind but that's not nearly as good card advantage-wise.

I play Summon Breaker in Majespecter. I just play it 3-4 Duel with Majespecter yesterday, and somehow no one knows what Summon Breaker does. Easy turn skip. . Funny interaction is when I face Majespecter Summon Breaker with Ghoti. I summon 2 Ghoti in standby. Then the 1st Normal Summon or Special in that Turn 1 suddenly turn skip. If only I summon the 3rd Ghoti in my Standby, I can bypass Summon Breaker effect. . Tips, you can always use Majesty Pegasus & Dinomight ritual as scale. You can summon Majesty earlier with Dino to Impermanence check. Or you can summon it in the end of combo to open 1 free spell/trap zone.
