Jay, the word you're looking for is "cavitating" rather than percolating. That's where the pump is flailing around unable to achieve a fluid seal and move liquid. Also, I could see you being able to do a "damage" mod like you describe. Just epoxy a sheet of similar steel on the outside of the glass panel. Or better yet, ask Fractal to make you one that you can then deform. 😁

I can see pulling all the cables through the huge top hole. Branch off and custom sleeve. Looking like a black root system. With all the slots in the mobo tray, you can tie down the cables on the inside of the case. So, it is plausible to make a nice clean wire harness for all the cables coming out at one place. It is plausible to make non modular and even semi modular cables look appealing. So many ideas for a nice and unique look.

The one downside is a lack of drive space but you can fit two 3.5s and you can get some huge drives now so you could have two in RAID which should do for most uses and if you need more drive space than that then a NAS or SAN is probably what is really needed.

I think you may have found me my next computer case. I was a little dubious with the top mounted PSU, but there's lots of good features: - full filtration on the intakes is real nice, as is a positive pressure design for my living space (I have carpets that generate a ton of dust, so keeping the dust from circumventing the dust filters is a really nice feature I wish my current case had the capacity to do.) - The $300 price tag (I'm Canadian, numbers get bigger up here) would have pushed it well outside of my acceptable price tag for a case, but the fact that it comes with pre-installed intake fans very nearly covers the cost of cooling for me: I'd just need one exhaust fan and whatever I go with for the CPU Cooler (I'm not a water guy, I'm both not the best at keeping up with maintenance and my attention to detail can vary wildly...I've seen enough of your videos to know these are bad traits for someone who uses water cooling systems) Looking at the prices, 5 of those same 140mm fans bought without the case would cost me $115 (I couldn't find a price for the 180mm fans, so I'm just using the 140 price for those...it would be more, of course. - The amount of open space makes it look very nice to work with. I'm used to fairly old school cases with massive racks of drive bays (my current case has 3 5-inch and 7 3.5-inch bays), and given the lack of need for an internal optical drive, I'd be delighted to just go to something simple like this.

Or even V-mount two radiators up front - shrouded and vented straight out one or both side panels (with some serious frame cutting).

SFF is where it's at for me. I don't really want my pc to be an extra piece of furniture in the room or for it to take a desk all to itself.

Same. But ngl, small cases and builds can be cute
@First-Name_Last-Name3 жыл бұрын
I like big cases and ATX boards too. Ample space for parts assembly and cable management, and also easy to clean because there's lesser small gaps. Never going to do SFF, not because I don't like SFF, but due to my Neanderthal level of cable management skills and hand dexterity.

YES please do a case mod with this case. It's been a while since you made a complete build with modding!

So I just watched a video from Major Hardware where he 3D printed a shroud to direct cool air at an air-cooled GPU. His results are staggering to say the least, and because you tout liquid cooling on a regular basis and enjoy casemods I figure that this would be right up your alley in a juxtaposed fashion.

I would go with the white version of this case for a SC build, this battleship gray one would make an awesome WoWs build.

The craziest fan mod I ever did was installing a high CFM all metal AC fan with a 12 volt relay to turn it on. I cut the case metal so it exactly matched the shape of the fan inlet and used metal tape to smooth the transition. Then I cut out the bottom of the plastic front panel and made some cuts up the sides between the case and front. Behind the panel I put in blocking so that the fan could only draw in air from outside the case. It would take the fan a bit to get up to speed but once running it was pulling air like a vacuum cleaner. Couldn't leave small things around the bottom of it or they'd end up inside the computer. I still have that case from 21 years ago. Massive full tower with 12 drive bays. I got fed up with cramped mid and mini towers.

Another idea but certainly _way_ more involved: light strips somehow _in between_ the front panels slits so that you can highlight different patterns in different colors, perhaps even animated. Like some sort of crazy AI calculating stuff or something like that.

First, YES I’d like to see you build this out. I really like the unboxing/initial review, and own a Meshify C(looking for bigger now). Kinda reminds me of of a O-11/Nine Hundred case. I’ve never done a PSU top mount; I think I’ll never have enough cord length.

To me it looks like a variant of the Meshify S2, but with some things on the inside changed around. It actually looks really nice, I’m interested to start seeing builds in there. The watercooled builds could be cool, especially if you wanted like a gunmetal theme
