I'd love to see you do a mod on this, and near the end you expressed wanting to have solid panels to have more space to work on, and fyi this case DOES have a solid side panel version! Fractal is one of the few companies left that still does them and I love that. If I'm being honest it looks even slicker than the TG versions. Something about the entire shape is really enticing

Jay, the word you're looking for is "cavitating" rather than percolating. That's where the pump is flailing around unable to achieve a fluid seal and move liquid. Also, I could see you being able to do a "damage" mod like you describe. Just epoxy a sheet of similar steel on the outside of the glass panel. Or better yet, ask Fractal to make you one that you can then deform. 😁

I can see pulling all the cables through the huge top hole. Branch off and custom sleeve. Looking like a black root system. With all the slots in the mobo tray, you can tie down the cables on the inside of the case. So, it is plausible to make a nice clean wire harness for all the cables coming out at one place. It is plausible to make non modular and even semi modular cables look appealing. So many ideas for a nice and unique look.

Yes, please do a modded case build with this one! And, it seems like this case with two 280s in the bottom, 2 in the front, and one 140 in the back would make for a fairly quiet air cooled pc. Lots of air movement and not too much noise.

Yes I want to see a case mod on this one! Also, love that they give you the tools/brackets in the box to flip the 180s to bottom intakes and the 140s to the front for AIO installs. I agree! That case is screaming for a full makeover, I like the idea of an 'Impulse engine' front lit in cyan, edging details in red-ish with a 'pulse' type of effect running from the front to the rear with some yellow coloured pipes inside the case all leading to the rear of the case being lit in a white light. Oh and I would just like to say loving all the vids you do, they are generally fantastically funny but definitely informative and always one of the first places I come to when I wanna watch something. I really like this case. It is funny because I see it as an ideal choice for someone that wants a very professional-looking workstation. I f I was building systems for a firm that needs video editing, CAD/CAM, FPGA development, or just software development. Lots of cooling Big GPUs, multi-core CPUs, and big air coolers. The one downside is a lack of drive space but you can fit two 3.5s and you can get some huge drives now so you could have two in RAID which should do for most uses and if you need more drive space than that then a NAS or SAN is probably what is really needed.

I think you may have found me my next computer case. I was a little dubious with the top mounted PSU, but there's lots of good features: - full filtration on the intakes is real nice, as is a positive pressure design for my living space (I have carpets that generate a ton of dust, so keeping the dust from circumventing the dust filters is a really nice feature I wish my current case had the capacity to do.) - The $300 price tag (I'm Canadian, numbers get bigger up here) would have pushed it well outside of my acceptable price tag for a case, but the fact that it comes with pre-installed intake fans very nearly covers the cost of cooling for me: I'd just need one exhaust fan and whatever I go with for the CPU Cooler (I'm not a water guy, I'm both not the best at keeping up with maintenance and my attention to detail can vary wildly...I've seen enough of your videos to know these are bad traits for someone who uses water cooling systems) Looking at the prices, 5 of those same 140mm fans bought without the case would cost me $115 (I couldn't find a price for the 180mm fans, so I'm just using the 140 price for those...it would be more, of course. - The amount of open space makes it look very nice to work with. I'm used to fairly old school cases with massive racks of drive bays (my current case has 3 5-inch and 7 3.5-inch bays), and given the lack of need for an internal optical drive, I'd be delighted to just go to something simple like this.

I would keep the stock fans at least for the front because I do not think that Noctua makes 180s. You could use them for the bottom and the rear but I would probably stick with the stock but I would use a Noctua cooler like a DH-15. You could use solid panels and sound dampening but glass really isn't that bad since it is very ridged. My guess is as it is pretty quiet at low settings but you would have to see how the heat vs sound works out.

For your space/engine mod idea - I always wanted a case that had full height intake at the front, and direct venting without passing warmed air on to other components. Difficult and ultimately not much cooling advantage, but it would look great. This case looks to have enough room behind a front mount setup to vent out both side panels. Or even V-mount two radiators up front - shrouded and vented straight out one or both side panels (with some serious frame cutting).

I'd love to see a mod in this, especially what you described. Sounds really cool. I just bought the RGB version and it'll be the first case I've ever bought where I'm not going to replace the fans. Going to go with air, but might do an open loop when EK's new 360mm (2x180) rad comes out. Also, just a heads up, they do have an optional vertical mount bracket, and you don't have to remove any fans. And I've also seen some testing where adding the back fan is a waste. It's results ranged from doing nothing, to actually hurting temps.

The craziest fan mod I ever did was installing a high CFM all metal AC fan with a 12 volt relay to turn it on. I cut the case metal so it exactly matched the shape of the fan inlet and used metal tape to smooth the transition. Then I cut out the bottom of the plastic front panel and made some cuts up the sides between the case and front. Behind the panel I put in blocking so that the fan could only draw in air from outside the case. It would take the fan a bit to get up to speed but once running it was pulling air like a vacuum cleaner. Couldn't leave small things around the bottom of it or they'd end up inside the computer. I still have that case from 21 years ago. Massive full tower with 12 drive bays. I got fed up with cramped mid and mini towers.
