​@VentA_7 while I do agree with you there, I think SoC is by far a big offender when it comes to QA and overall proper design decisions for a figure. I own the Chogokin Super Evangelion and that thing is an abomination in both quality and overall design. If i didn't absolutely like the design i would've sold it as soon as I could. That should not be a reoccurring theme with a line that claims to be as prestigious as it is. But as I said in jobby's recent Eva video, CCSToys is basically the new SoC since the money you are spending for a figure is absolutely worth it at CCS.

@@albertwesker295 I don't think CCS should exactly be held up as the gold standard seeing as they've had a few QC mishaps as of late (that Star Slasher Shin Getter was embarrassing) but regardless, they still have more to offer than Bandai nowadays when it comes to value for money. Be it Sentinel's RIOBOT, CCS Toys, Artstorm's POSE+ Heat, Threezero's ROBO-DOU, etc, basically all of Bandai's major competitors in this sphere are leaving them in the dust when it comes to engineering, value, and/or quality control, Bandai's just coasting off the brand name at this point, operating off the notion that their figures are just going to be opened, photographed for 30 minutes, and then stuck on a shelf to be forgotten about for 50 years. They barely even use ratchet joints anymore because they don't care that the die-cast will turn all their joints into floppy messes in a few years.

A tryon 3 figure would've sold me IMMEDIATELY, but the flaws drive it down. Also, I like how they never styled it. It's very obviously robot limbs and that's the point. It sells the idea that the thing was made by literal kids with parts REALLY well.

I’m not surprised by this Bandai’s quality has been really going down hill as of late. As a fan of Kamen Rider their Rider CSM belts quality has gone down tremendously. Some examples in clue their CSM Agito Alter Ring hinges braking, CSM Garren’s Garren Rouzer not reading the cards, and their Faiz Driver being the work with a squeaky hinge opening the phone and made to not being able to read one of the buttons. Bandai’s quality going down hill make sense because Bandai have a monopoly on most of Japan IP’s and because they own so much their is not enough budget for all of the quality control for each item they release

Their DX Chogokin Macross line has been going down the gutter when it comes to QC. YF-21s are arriving with broken antennas, the Armored 25S has issues with crooked cockpits and paint overspray, and 25Gs are floppier than a noodle out of the box. It's unacceptable when we're being charged like $200-300 for a figure.

I had a major QC issue with the Soul of Chogokin God Mars Renewal Version. It was immediately broken out of the box, and when I returned and repalced it, the figure broke again as I carefully transformed it. I got a second return and refund, and bought the SOC Vehicle Voltron instead. A great figure!

Can't you use a bit of super glue to add a bit more stability and friction between parts? That what I did with some of my Transformers and Combiners if pieces don't connect properly. For example, my Studio Series Long Haul had issues when it came to a port that connected to the literal dump truck onto his back. So, I added a bit of super glue to tighten the port and, as of now, only comes off when I want to to come off. The same thing applies to the ports that connect onto the dump truck to form Devastator's leg. Due to all that weight, Long Haul in his leg form, would constantly break apart, causing it to be incapable of standing. Much like the port on Long Haul's back, I used super glue to add more friction between the holes and the ports, and again, much like the back port, the pegs only come apart when I want them to come apart.

Yeah, this guy was my first SOC, since I LOVE Build Fighters Try and the Tryon 3. However, I have a similar issue with that connection (though mine isn't _as_ quick to pop apart. The backpack on mine is fine, but the collar tabs aren't) and the lack of ratchets in the hips has me very worried for its longevity, given how HEAVY his legs are. The four Sentinel Riobots I own made me way more happy than this guy, as they are much more playable. I'm sad to say this is very likely my first and last SOC. I don't want to have to handle a toy with kid gloves, just because it costs multiple hundreds of dollars. I want to be able to play with it.
