I recently started playing again and I just miss the good days. Ubisoft stripped this game down to such a barebones version of the game. There aren't even bodies on the floor or an intro cutscene to the game any more. Tachanka is no longer Tachanka, Recruit is no longer Recruit, Casual rounds are far too short now, to the point that it's basically just a run and gun. Older operators just seem obsolete. Ace outdoes Hibaba in every way. Ubisoft just take things that weren't broken and either remove them or make them worse.

Competitively Hibana is still the best hard breach.

To be honest all the changes you mentioned are changes because the game has become very competitive, bodies not being on the floor is a comp change

@@DevourD3 how is Hibana the best hard breach? She's the best at hatches I'll give you that, but she opens the least amount out of all 4 hard breaches and takes the second longest to do it

Two words: Power Creep. You cannot just buff everything until it is balanced. Look what has happened to MOBAs and other games over years.

I will die on this hill. They need to scrap siege and go back to the drawing board with siege 2. They need a better engine. A better anti cheat. And they need to leave behind some ops that were really just never a good idea to begin with

I was saying this same exact thing a few days ago. Like start over and make it a ground up build. I’d love to see them bring the maps back from Vegas 2. Like stratosphere or the Las Vegas convention center. Or dare I say the oil rig from Eagle Watch? Yeah I’ve been playing Rainbow Six a long time! Imagine Siege with ten players or two attacking teams of six each and maybe two bomb sites. With completely random bomb spawn sites. What if one bomb was on the top floor and one was in the basement?

Its because of the power creep which is a huge thing in game design and the current tdm meta, constant buffs instead of nerfs to guns and operators will lead to the average operator being op. And having all op operators leads to a faster pace game with lower time to kill increasing the tdm meta. These recent constant nerfs are trying to combat the tdm meta and lower the average OPness of an operator. After theyve all been "balanced" with nerfs, ubisoft will then start rolling out buffs and nerfs to keep the game at a balanced state. It's for the best right now even if its boring to see

I too came from vegas 1 and vegas 2 days and its crazy how much more complicated this game is. I honestly miss the good ole days of not ads'ing 24.7. Games got to be more fast paced and exciting. The MLG and gamebattles teams were always going crazy on each other! shit was super exciting. i quit playing all games for like 10 years and Ive been playing seige for about 6 months now lvl 72 and I enjoy it but I dont really love it, it was super frustrating and still is learning the different operators and what advantages and disadvantages each come with. I stick with Sledge, and gridlocks big ass on attackers, mainly run castle, sometimes get to run lesion and oryx big ass is kinda fun.

Ace is not objectively better than thermite. His gadget is less versatile than both thermites and hibanas. People only play him every round cuz he’s a 2 speed with the ak12. The devs nerf purely based off pick and win rate.

I disagree with that, as a hard breach main myself. Ace is more versatile than both of them. He opens walls from a distance just like Hibana, making him safer for indoor breaches. Outdoors, Thermite is better. Indoors, I'd take Ace any day. He opens more wall than Hibana, as well as doing it faster. Ace's only downside is that he's utter crap at hatches. Hibana can get the most hatches, making her the best breacher for sites like basement Clubhouse. Ace is the most versatile hard breacher, as he can open walls more safely than Thermite but opens more than Hibana

everytime i play siege im bored out of my mind its so slow and boring way too many traps and annoying things and it gets worse and worse with each update also all the new maps and most map reworks suck

Yeah, siege is fun but they’ve released an entire marketplace before they’ve fixed any of their ongoing problems. And they haven’t done anything about problems they said they’ll “fix soon” or they have already “fixed”. It really says something.

Yes this is one of the main reasons why i dont play siege anymore. Iv moved on to The Finals and let me tell u that game is so much fun.

Prior to April ‘21 it was averaging 18 million monthly players. After that it dropped to around 10 million and that’s been pretty consistent since. What happened in ‘21 that got so many people to leave?that was Year 6 Season 1 Crimson Heist. I think I started playing after that so I don’t know.

I Think The Problem With Games Weather It's BattleField Call Of Duty Or Siege Is They Started Out In A Realistic Sense & Space. But Now All Of Them Are Nerfing The Games To The Point Of Little To No Return. For Example Modern WarFare 2 ReStated Every Gun In The Game Making Them Equal But Realistic Again Which Was Good For The Game It Wiped The Metas & The Over Use Of One Specific Gun. But It Went South Because They Dropped A ShotGun (The MX Guardian I Believe) Right After The ReStating & It Destroyed EveryThing Across The Board. & So In Turn I Think It's Getting Out Of Hand. & Games Loose All Realism & Balance. & I Feel Like Siege Has Taken That Turn The Furthest Because It's Beginning Course Siege Was Realistic & Challenging But Fun. Then It Went Down Hill Of Putting In SomeThing Realistic To Then It Not Fitting In Because It's To Over Powered. I Feel Like Siege Went From A Tactical Mil/Swat Simulator Like FPS Style Game To Being In The BattleField 2042 & Call Of Duty MW2/3 Like Realm Of You Can Play Realistic Like Etc. But It's Not Going To Win Etc. & I Feel That's What Happened With Siege Because It Went From Playing A Operator In A Specific Role For A Team Element Situation In A Tense Realistic Sim Style Game To. Changing The Operators To Being Specialist (Like BO3 Or BF2042) & Playing More Solo & Less Team & Having To Learn EveryThing About Them To A T & Listening To EveryThing Going On Knowing Whose Playing What Specialist In Order To Call Out To The Rest Of The Members Your With & I Think It's Taken Away From What Siege Really Was & Turned It InTo A Game That Is For More Complex Then It Needs To Be & Pushed Out The Casual PlayerBase So That InOrder To Enjoy It You Have To Put In 500-1000+ Hours Of NonStop Gaming It To Be Able To Play At A ReMarkable Level For Regular Or Ranked. Because You Have Learn The Specialist & The Sounds They Make & What They Can & Cant Do While Also Learning The Weapons & MoveMent & Damage & So On. While Learning The Maps & EveryOnes Play Style Etc. & I Think That Takes Away From It All Because There's Just To Much Going On At Once. Again It's No Longer Picking A Operator & Working As A Team In A Tactical Sense It's Picking A Specialist & Working As A Team In Solo StandPoint. I Just Think In It's OverAll It's Pushed Away From It's Original Goal To Copy The Trends Of CSGO & Call Of Duty & Valorant Etc. That's Just Me.
