It's then up to the father to make his son into a man by having a strong and open relationship whereby the child is comfortable in sharing his uncertainties and worries with the parent. If you think you're son is on road then it's best to sit your son down have a conversation with him and find out whether he is or not. Then find out what he wants to achieve in life and career and guide him onto that path...true or very true?

Yes give them something else to focus on. Something that he can be held accountable for, like what Castillo said. His coach or teacher will help. That could lead to competitions or career you just never know - he won’t have time to be on road. I did this with my daughter she didn’t have any time to hang around with mates only those that were at dance. When she weren’t at dance 2-3 times per week - she was recovering resting prepping for big comps which were nearly every weekend, pack up their free time with activities/interests It’s hard I got a little 4 year old boy and these are the things I think about on a regs but I plan to try the same thing

He needs to speak to his son first, and try to establish what his son does when he leaves the house. It’s sounds like he’s certain that he is doing road. That may not even be the case. Has he met the friends that his son keeps around him? Because that would tell you a lot about what your son would be influenced by. Apart from that, I agree with most the comments, try and introduce him to things that will take up his time and show him that you are willing to invest in his aspirations. Ultimately, if he is 100% set on being in the streets, then he will do it but if he sees potential in doing things the right way and he knows that he has his parents support, then that can go a long way. Just be honest with him about how you feel about him being out of the house and go from there.
