Every new update leaves me more and more convinced that this game is some sort of prologue to some bigger, unannounced project. A few reasons for that: 1: Despite seemingly being a 1 man team without any prior history (that I can find) the amount that is changed and added in each update is quite substantial; the updated models in particular. Making 3D models is HARD. A few of them (like Stewart) are kind of jank/generic, but the antennas and such are VERY high quality. 2: It keeps escalating. It started off as a slightly spooky but fun and semi-realistic simulator game, and it is almost to the point of viral horror at this point. 3: Despite starting with basically no discernible plot (other than hints at a missing co-worker), it is now gearing up to a full-on hostile invasion. 4: Your character is obviously an employee at a government (if not outright military) observation post; and the place seems to be built with the assumption that SOMETHING is going to try and get in. You don't see many 3 room buildings with both internal and external keypad-secured doors; the roof access especially seems like a strange place to have an electronic lock considering you're in the middle of nowhere; and there's no external roof access to speak of. 5: The freaking rover. Those exist for exactly one reason; exploring places too far away (or too dangerous) for humans. Logically speaking there's no real reason to have something like that at a secure facility on Earth; unless they anticipate a situation popping up where the on-site crew needs to hunker down inside; and yet, it's not equipped to perform maintenance duties such as cleaning the solar array or remotely accessing the antennas.

Eddie Jackson i find the American eas System so interesting here in Germany we don’t have such a thing. We have a app that warns us about oncoming “catastrophes” like heavy rains and it can also be used if we would get attacked by some other nation. But we don’t have a system that interrupts every tv broadcast and radio transmission here the corresponding radio stations and tv stations need to receive the warning through other ways and report it themselves. I think the Eas system is very useful and should we ever get attacked by aliens it could save many lives.

God, that emergency broadcast signal is giving me chills, I always imagine aliens invading earth, and humans take the precautions and do everything the signal tells them. And they hide in spots away from the windows, while it’s pitch black and you can barely see anything, and then all you can possibly hear are your breathing, creaking from the house, the wind, your neck bones scraping against each other, and the sound of aliens possibly coming into your house. That shit freaks me the fuck out. And if you make the slightest noise, turn on any sort of light, like your phone, flashlight, anything that produces light, the aliens now know where you are and they will kill you instantly. And you can’t see them either because it’s pitch black.
