Glow plus last for years. I have 2. I change it just to make it easier and faster having one clean and ready to go with the new screen. You need to make sure the screen is installed correctly and not deformed. The filter is in the end of the pump. Something you might consider, look at instructions for high altitude operations, the Espar has an updated pump for high elevation operations. I do not have issues with that but I know people that do run them at high elevation and the updated pump helped them with their issues.

There is an in between option, the Lavaner Pro is also a Chinese made product but they have a US warehouse and provide service. They also have a model that adjusts itself for altitude change. It's about $450. When mine craps out, this will be the replacement I try.

Awesome now you got wheel chock. I think the ECM is faulty. For your viewers when you change the POS heater with a new one put all the new parts in heater pump fuel lines and filter and the display. That way you got a fighting chance. Then all the parts are new. 7 don't beat yourself up these heaters are NOT DEPENDABLE at all. Try a couple things then chuck it in the garbage 😂. Awesome video covered lots of issues. 🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦🛠️

they say it's a little harder on them, the higher you go in altitude. Plus you need to run them wide open, and not a half speed. It plugs them up. Atomizer screen gets plugged up.

I watched the first fix video and you had the heater set to 1.4hhz fuel setting, if your running that low it probably isnt combusting the fuel properly causing carbon build up in the combustion chamber, if it is a 5kw unit which I suspect it is it shouldnt really run any lower than 1.7hz even then you will need to run it at the maximum setting for an hour once a week to clean out the crap in the combustion chamber. if I were you id find out how to get into the special setting menu on the controller look on you tube and set the fan speed for 5000rpm high and 1650 rpm low that will stop the heater hz fuel setting from going to low. below 1.7hz, you can also change the glowplug settings by increasing its temperature. I had similar issues with one of mine, I had to shorten the air intake hose to half its length with no curves in the air intake pipe.

Sounds like you need to crank the heat up on high for 10 minutes and burn the carbon out of it.

I recently opened up the heater and the burn chamber was mostly clean. oh, and I do "burn" out the chamber for almost an hour each time I use it

Your fuel's outside and below the level of the floor so therefore the pump has to draw the fuel uphill slightly? If it were mine I would situate the tank at least level with the heater and take fuel off the bottom of the tank. Install a hard steel line ie 1/8 or 3/16 brake line with the flares cut off and short hard (a couple inches) nylon line on either end to the heater and the pump. Make sure the pump is fairly close the the heater. I mix 10 - 15% gasoline with my diesel, helps gelling and burns cleaner. Buy a quality glow plug if it is actually dieing fast, check it with a ohm meter when there's a question.

You’ve got about 30 days or less before cold weather returns here in colorado. Fridges realllly don’t need that much ventilation. Every house I’ve ever owned has had a cased in refrigerator. You can also have packages left directly at the fedex in salida. We regularly get a foot of snow around the end of September early October. Really should check “shore pretty observation” at twin lakes for blm camping.

The diesel will always leave suit inside that heater. I run kerosene in mine now. Haven't had a problem in over a year even running it at low temperatures. Diesel fuel does add lubrication but I was going to throw it away anyway.
@SevenWanderstheWorld
@SevenWanderstheWorld Жыл бұрын
good point. I'm thinking of running 50-50 diesel/kerosene mix which according to many is the ideal ratio for cleaner fuel vs getting the lubrication from the diesel additives

@@SevenWanderstheWorld If you do the 50/50 mark the can really good because I think you have a diesel truck and you don't want to make that mistake👍

Kerosene still causes carbon build up, ive been running kero for 6 months and have just serviced mine and it had soot inside the combustion chamber.

Hello Seven. Don't beat yourself up about forgetting to open the air vent. We all forget little things from time to time. Happy that you can diagnose and repair your rig as well as you do. I'm happy each time you post a video so we can see what you've been up to. Progress is slow but a job worth doing is worth the time. I hope you are enjoying your time out in the west, hopefully enjoying quiet relaxing time as well. It seems like your solar system and charging system is working well as you no longer seem to spend time in a coffee shop uploading your videos... ?? So that's great as well. Your home will come together soon, I'm sure and I hope you will be delighted in the end. Good luck.

I don't know if reducing the fuel line down to 2 mm. is such a good idea. It could be starved for fuel

actually the hard 2mm nylon hose is one of the highest recommended solutions to diesel heater problems. my new heater came with a stock 2mm nylon hard hose (problem is in longer lines the soft hose flexing and losing pressure)

@@SevenWanderstheWorld yep but you dont use the cheap chineese jubilee clips you buy real jubille clips for the joints or they leak air into nthe fuel line, this causes running issues.

eventually yes, but I'm feeling like I'm taking several steps backwards lately to repair things or disassemble things before moving forward again. as many have realized, I build at a snails pace but really in no rush

You may want to get a different controller that adjusts for high altitude operation. The heater is running rich which is causing that screen to get clogged

Word to the wise, Seven... "You only get *out* of it, what you paid *into* it!" Meaning if you don't pay a lot, don't expect a lot. This is true for most everything tangible you can buy...cars, trucks, furniture, single-garage "certified mechanic" services, TV shopping electronics...you get the idea. Not everything expensive is good or better than the rest. Just...use...good...judgement, because if it's just too good to be true, it most likely is!
