This is actually the number one piece of feedback I got- do not go out alone at night as a foreign woman, to have a friend or my husband with me at all times.
@rubyrose78582 ай бұрын
No country in the world is completely safe so yeah, you really need to stay cautious especially at night. I'm from Japan and I've had creepy guys follow me at night when I went grocery shopping or on the train when I was a high school student, a few times a guy would come over and just get all touchy close as we were the only ones in the whole train car. Luckily, I survived and nothing really bad has happened, but please be very careful. There has been previous murders of foreign women in Japan too and they aren't just simple ways of sending you to the afterlife. 😱

Some of you tourist or whatever, need to stop doing these fake videos about how safe it is in Japan. As a black woman, the chance of a random Japanese person trying to take your purse when you have little money, is ZERO to NONE. From the way you dress and carry yourself, any Japanese person can see, you are not worth the trouble. Japan is no different than any other country with it comes to crime. Crime is done in the dark away from security cameras that are on the streets. You do not know how to read or speak Japanese to be informed enough about crime there. And why are you walking around at that time of night, anyway. It is not your job to demonstrate how safe Japan is, leave it to the police. Take care of your safety no matter where you live.
