Well this video immediately didn't age well. They already reported that crime has gone up for the first time in twenty years because of all the non-white foreigners they have to bring in. And don't even get me started on how they falsely accuse white people and force them to confess to crimes they didn't commit, coupled with the fact that their Μαrχιsτ government will import hundreds of thousands of foreigners because their companies don't have enough workers because of their aging population. Well, they already have....RIP.

you don't really need to learn Nihongo in order to get around in Japan ... not unless you want to go to some small towns in the countryside...and yes Japan is really safe even for women solo travelers

Solo travelling is the best. It forces you to interact more with new people, instead of travelling with girlfriend/boyfriend or friend, where you tend to keep to each others company more. I've done most my travelling with others but look forward to more solo travel in the future. Definitely Japan is one of the safest places to do so.

Indeed, I feel especially as solo traveller and even more if you're a women, making your research of the place on how safe it is by looking at other traveller reviews is so important, also I recommend getting some tours with hotel pick-up/drop off, since the guide will give you a layer of protection and you can unwind even more, to avoid getting out late, unless you have booked a tour who will drop you off, to not be afraid to walk away from people with no thank you and a smile while not looking at them, you don't owe nothing to nobody and to *always* listen to your intuition. I've been solo travelling for years and love it as well, you just have to be aware of those things to not be naive, since they prey on the naive. Blessings xo

Please produce a video discussing the topic of the great game of baseball in Japan. Many would find that topic very interesting and the season will start soon. It is a sport that has transcended the cultures of America and Japan. I don't know if you are an enthusiast of the sport, but it is a passion shared by many around the world. Shohei Ohtani is currently the highest-compensated athlete on the planet and global interest in baseball has grown outside of our two countries, the Caribbean, and Central America. The success of the WBC has provided data to prove my opinion.

I think the parts where people were saying that we should research about the country first and go with the flow can apply for anywhere you go. That's what I did when I first traveled abroad by myself in Italy and it helped me a lot especially since I didn't know how to speak their language ( just some words). If I go to Japan I'd definitely do my research especially if I want to visit unique places. Great interview!

Good one! Very informative. Thank you. I would really like to live in rural Okinawa for a year, and too, I'm not sure where to begin or what kind of visa to get. I would not be working or studying, only residing for the year and enjoying. I would like to take photography and tour on my Honda Monkey bike. I would definitely be on a modest budget, so a little house for rent somewhere would be ideal. I'm not sure where to even begin looking for a place like that, or whether such thing exists at all at a cost I could afford, and too, I'd like to try to make it happen.

My personal advice for solo travel in Tokyo: there's a ton of cults roaming around, so be a little careful if an overly friendly English speaking Japanese person approach you. Also, don't go drinking alone. Especially at "snack" bars. I got scammed. Drugged me then called the cops and claimed I trespassed. I had to pay a few thousand dollars for them to drop the charges.

For Shinjuku station, it's not that difficult. It's just become more of a nuisance ever since the direct connection between Keio/Odakyu/JR has been abolished 2-3 years ago. Just remember: Odakyu line, Keio line is on the West Side. If you want the Keio New Line, take South exit. For Shopping and Kabukicho, it's East side; business and a couple of huge electronic stores as well as Keio/Odakyu department store on the West. If you come by Fukutoshin line on Sanchome station, you will arrive below Marui department store, but can get to Kabukicho easily by following the signs to ISETAN exit (a department store). Marunouchi line has 3 stations, Nishi- Shinjuku (west side), shinjuku (below east exit) and Sanchome (same as Fukutoshin line). The only difficult in my opinion is Oedo line. The Nishiguchi station actually connects to the passageway between East and West exit, so for East side use this. The Shinjuku one is on the South side, alongside the Keio New line station. It is also not advised to use Shinjuku line, as it is also below South exit.

Loved my solo visit to Tokyo and Kyoto Japan. I stayed for 12 days. The train system map looked more difficult than it really was. Figured it out after about day 3. Felt safe but encourage to be vigilant wherever you travel. My flight was pricey as I flew with Delta. Hotels were affordable in my opinion. Food was excellent. Stayed in Shinjuku but will not during my next visit. If you love action all night then stay there. I liked the Roppongi better for my taste. There was a tsunami warning when I was there but everyone carried on like normal.

I pushed my friend to go to Japan solo. She doesn’t speak any Japanese or English and yet she managed to survive three times and spend time nicely, attended some gigs of our favorite musicians. Google translate rules! She isn’t good at entertaining herself and our way of traveling is different (like I would have experienced 10 times more than she did but it was her choice) but it’s absolutely safe and possible. It is the only foreign country she’s ever visited

I traveled solo in India and traveled to Japan with my son and both times I had to interact with locals a lot since I was the only adult and it's both intimidating and fantastic when you are pushed out of your comfort zone to speak with strangers all day long. I found people in Japan to be extremely helpful even if you don't speak Japanese. Google translate is a godsend and I had whole conversations with people using the app. I also said sumimasen a lot (which roughly translates to pardon me/excuse me) and that was enough to get me through every situation I found myself in. I would suggest getting out of the mindset of sightseeing and just enjoy walking around, the street life is so interesting. One of my favorite moments was seeing very young children, like 6 or 7 years old, walking home solo from school.

Have a rough itinerary that give you some kind of direction, but then don't hesitate to change when you see another intriguing place or path. Getting lost in Japan gave me my best travel experiences.

I am a woman who has been doing solo traveling to Japan for 20+ years having visited from Okinawa to Hokkaido and I’d say most of the time it’s very safe but it’s best to possess a little bit of Japanese understanding cos in some urgent circumstances the knowledge would be handy and yes using google translate is helpful if your Japanese isn’t fluent enough but most importantly follow their rules and be aware of drunken men cos they can be very aggressive and also do not expect Japanese to be very proactively helpful. One more tip, always have a back up travel route/plan in case the main one has broken down/delayed/ for whatever reason cos they are very common especially if your trip involves a lot of traveling…

That young lady makes a great point. Don’t get complacent in other parts of the world traveling solo just because you felt so safe in Japan.

Exactly, just travel in Japan. (I don't ever see myself solo traveling anywhere else.)

Many thanks for this new information. I'm excited about arriving 1st March for a month and love Japan so much. No were is safe in the world today sadly, but so long as your careful and aware of the risks, as we all are today due to the multitude of scams and an increase in violence in every country, then you should be safe. UK born, in my opinion japan is my most favourite country in the world, the cleanest and most friendly. Beautiful architecture, Beautiful people and Beautiful rich history. I've made friends and this is my 4th return. I will holiday no where else now.

I just did 6 weeks in Japan solo and i never even thought of feeling unsafe. Japanese people are more beautiful, kind and good natured than they know. My 7th trip and I'll be back later this year.

I've been to 69 different countries so far, mostly traveling alone. Japan was probably the safest one of them all. I can't even really come up with something that I would have to worry about in Japan that would'nt be worse somewhere else.

I've always wanted to solo travel, but admittedly being black and a woman I've been nervous. Its barely safe to travel around US alone 😅. This is encouraging though. I'll be coming with my kid though when I do finally make it. Saving up now and studying ❤
