This right here! It should be a requirement for cat ownership to build a catio instead of letting them free roam outside by themselves with no supervision. With a catio however, they get plenty of exercise, and one Ty of enrichment, plus they stay safer, happier and healthier, without the risk of being injured by another predator and without the risk of being stolen by some evil person.

If you ever move, leave him inside for at least 2 solid weeks at the new place. Cats have an internal gps that tells them where home is but if you move you have to give them at least 2 weeks for the internal gps to reset.

Some people take their fur babies out in a baby carriage. That way they can get outside time without being cooped up all the time. Good walk for you. Scenic views for the cat. Just something to consider. Cute kitties ❤️

Ngl that’s one of the many reason why cats should stay inside. Not to mention they kill millions of birds every year alone as well as other wildlife. Just a thought. I love cats either way ❤️

I've been there twice. Mack, my cat who was only allowed on my lenai, escaped for 48 hours. I set an alarm & went outside searching every 2 hours. At hour 48, I heard a car screech & knew in my heart it was him. It was, thankfully, he came running home as if he'd lost one of his o lives. He's been an indoor only cat with no desire to leave home ever since. His mother, Sophia, a stray I caught, was an indoor outdoor cat the 1st 2 years I wasn't concerned about her because my neighbors knew her by name & loved her & she was incredibly street smart. Unfortunately she went missing for a month when I was at my sickest & I could only put up signs. Thankfully, a nurse found her & she's been an indoor only cat since.

Seriously, I wouldn't let any cats outside. Sorry, all cats should be kept inside, but you can walk them on a leash or something like that. Their lives are shortened if you let them go outside, like ten years on average.
