Hello! Love the Vids! I've been a mechanic for 12 years. If it only does it when your backing up, then 95% of the time it's your emergency brake cable sticking therefore applying your emergency brake pads which are on the back. I usually take some PB blaster or WD-40 and spray it down the tube of the cable where it connects to the caliper and then pump the brakes and repeat a few times. It should free up the cable. Anyways hope you and your wife have a blessed and beautiful future! Keep up the great work!

I have COPD and arthritis. I rarely leave the house but about once a month. I get all the groceries and everything I need delivered right to my home. I love these videos. You bring the outside world in when some of us can't get out anymore like we used to. Years ago, I gathered and collected stuff. I'd hold 2 yard sales a year and I made $2,000 or more each time I held one. When I posted I was having a yard sale on Fri-Sun, I'd have people knock on the door on a Tuesday asking if they could look at what I had for sale. It was hysterical. the most valuable thing I ever sold was a cherry dining room table and 8 chairs. It was literally given to me. The retail cost of it was $6k. I sold it for $2,500 cash. They were thrilled to have it. It was in mint condition and they lady that bought it said she was a doctors wife. I told her that table came from a doctors house who died recently. You never know what someone will want what you have. The bad thing about yard sales is pricing with customers. You have an object that is $100 but you want to get rid of it fast so ask $40. Someone will pick it up and offer $5.00 and get mad as hell when you say no. I actually have had to ask a few people to just leave my property they were so rude. I own one of those roasting pans and still use it. Two beef roasts with some beef broth in the oven and it falls apart with a fork.

@travismartin3275

I work for a dealership and we see this a lot. It could be brake dust build up. Applying brake cleaner every now and then may help. In humid areas it is a problem once the vehicle sits overnight. A light film of rust builds up on the rotors and when the pads hit it, the friction burns that dust off causing a squeal. Most places just sell lower cost pads and rotors to make a sale. Installing high end parts could help but, unfortunately, there’s probably not a lot you can do.

Great video as usual! Service writer here for over 14 years. Brake noise your having is most likely from the wrong type or wrong material type pad being used. Semi-metallic pads tends to squeak more often and shops love to use them, due to their lower buy point, aka cost of good vs resale ;) . Furthermore a poor quality or lower priced pad will cause excess brake dust, thus causing more brake noise.

eBay has an option to add a video of the item now? Jeez. What an innovator. Most platforms have that and eBay, the grandpa of them all, not until recently. You might want to keep that Wagnerware, you can use it on a burner, in the oven, even camping. There's a reason for its value. The thickness of the aluminum means it heats evenly, and it's easy to clean. It's excellent for roasts, stews, etc. You can brown meat and onions in same pot, then toss in the oven and add stuff at will. Keep it.

It was really inspiring and motivation but recently I am seeing the same content(Garage or fleet market) repeatedly not very exiting which makes me to skip/fast forward the videos. Comment on the Lariat boots: the placement of, and whiteness of, the stains lead me to believe that it was not 'mildew', but rather salt staining (from sweat!).... use any cleaner you prefer to soften and remove said stains, but as another commenter pointed out, **remember to re-hydrate** (oil-wise, that is!!) -- I prefer DuxBak (waterproofing oil) or Fiebing's Neetsfoot Oil to condition and preserve leather, but if in a tight, regular canola oil will fill a stop-gap situation [just don't use it for prolonged periods!!]-- Love watching your 'swap-meet scavenging' videos and hearing how things turn out... I add it to both the wash and rinse cycle in my washing machine for smoke contaminated clothing, and use a mixture of vinegar and water in my steam cleaner on upholstered furniture. So small tip for you on the disc golf discs. One of them that you pulled when looking through had a star kinda stamp on an orange disc. That's Innova's stamp that they use on first run discs. If you look up the letter code on the bottom of it, and look up that name first run, that could be worth a heck of a lot of money. If it's newer it's probably like a 20-30$ find. Heck of a great disc golf haul. Proud of you two

That is very true about getting smells out of clothes, bedding, anything cloth that can go in the washing machine, just add 1 cup of white vinegar ( the kind you were using on the boots ) in the machine along with your laundry soap and it gets out urine, smoke, mildew, animal bedding, etc. But the best way to kill mildew in clothes is submerged them in boiling water then wash them in the washing machine. The boiling water kills mold and mildew spoors. (A hack I learned from my mom after forgetting clothes in the washer for almost 2days.

Just wish we had courses that were more difficult (like in Austin area/Hill Country) So, instead of a golf bag, we attach a plastic crate or something similar and that holds our discs, etc. People get pretty creative with theirs. "8^)~ Thx for the mildew remover idea. Never sold shoes before but getting ready to give it a try. Strictly yearbooks (for 17 yrs.) but starting to do vintage t-shirts and other easy to ship items (hats, ties, small toys). Been selling on eBay since 2004 (-05?) but looking to expand (I'm retired). Between this and something else I do for money, it keeps me busy for sure. Thx again! Outside of selling books, yours and your wife's videos have made a big impression about online selling for us all. Stay busy. One day, KZbin could change their rules about their channels, something they did to bloggers last decade (pre-VLOG).

That sounded like me this morning, I didn't want to get out of bed this morning to. But I had orders to pick/ship out and stuff to list, so I forced myself to get up. It's just one of those days.

So many suggestions for your Brakes, some good, some terrible lol. I'm a mechanic by trade for background to my comment. Here in Australia, Toyota's have had brake squeal problems for some time, not all cars, but a majority that do have issues tend to be Toyota's from my own experiences. Some common causes could be; excess dust (depending on pad material) but unlikely given the age of your vehicle and the fact the brakes were just done multiple times. The pad material itself (causing the noise under light braking application). To extend on this one, aftermarket branded brake pads can have an issue here as the pad design (the part that wears away) may be different from the factory replacement pad design, meaning different contact angles on the leading and trailing edges of the wear pad, this can feather as it wears causing the squeaks and squeals. Some wear pads require cut grooves to help avoid noise (determined by the manufacturer), some pads require backing plates specifically installed by the manufacturer to prevent brake noises (these are not always re-fitted during pad changes) and the list goes on from here as there are several other detail modifications or design specifics that are also implemented for noise issues by the manufacturer (either during design, or after issues come up as a rectification measure) that can be part of the pad design and/or the caliper design. Lastly, the disc rotors, poorer quality rotors have been known for noise issues as well (not all rotors are cast the same and from the same quality raw material!), seen it first hand, if in doubt use a reputable brand or just stick with OEM replacement parts. To a much lesser extend, there could be a brake caliper issue, like partially seized slides but assume the mechanic has already gone down this route as there is a known issue with noise and it should be checked during a standard brake change regardless. I would recommend finding out what parts were used as replacements to begin with (Factory parts or aftermarket), then asking if all factory backing plates were replaced and/or cleaned and re-used as well.

If they are basic ball caps that are worth 15 or $20 we've had really good luck just throwing them in the washing machine. If they are higher value we would probably take the time to hand wash.

Josh, it's Cool that you and Haley are good folks and treat the sellers fairly and with respect. Once they understand how you can help each other's business out, fairness and respect are generally reciprocated. Even when you choose not to purchase an item, it's more about how you kindly respond that makes the difference. Not what you say, but how you say it and all that. ( : Bless Your Hearts.

For your brakes, if available for your vehicle use ceramic pads. They last longer run cooler normally are noise free. Those are what postal delivery vehicles, police and taxi's use. Likely to be bit more expensive.

My Mechanic brother (of over 45 years) says try blowing them out with an air compressor as it could be built up brake dust... OR It may be that whoever installed them didn't get them seated correctly. Hope this helps. Keep up the great work... Love you 3 sweethearts

Usually its brake dust that gets trapped between the pad and rotor. Usually a good dousing of brake kleen (comes in a spray can) on the rotors and pads will get rid of the dust and thus get rid of the noise.

Also, depending on the pad composite, you may have to do this several times, like once every 3 months. Some pads produce alot of brake dust over time.

That squeaky sound when you backup it has to be the dust shield that for the rotor is . Might have to bent it slightly back so it won't make that noise
