Holy guacamole.. first off I don’t typically comment on diy vids I just usually give a like. BUT the way you planned out and took aspects from other pieces you liked and made it your own is inspiring. You really did take all the great design elements and put them into one piece. How you executed everything to make this hutch happen was great craftsmanship and design. Even fixing the slight overhang though small makes a difference in the details of the piece overall. DIY Diva, am I right folks? You got your dream hutch apothecary cabinet designed and made by yourself. You should feel proud, great job!! Obsessed with the end result and want to do this myself!

people think I got vaccinated because I want to do my part in getting through this pandemic but in reality I did it because I knew DIY Danie would soon create the piece of my dreams and I will need to fly to Canada (from Italy) to steal it. That piece is this piece. It's amazing. I'd say you outdid yourself, but you always do amazing mind-blowing things, so I can't even say that. Your furniture pieces always give me literal life and are probably my favourite thing on your channel, except your room makeovers are, too, and your can I make it for cheaper, and just - well, I couldn't chose one. This piece is stunning and has so much character. I'm obsessed with the deep wood colour on the inside, it makes it really gives it even more special something and it's like the best kind of colour combination for this kind of cabinet ever. Excuse me while I'm going to stare at this piece for an hour now.

Fantastic result! You are so clever. I loved the routed v-grooves. Re: thé cubby holes. I’ve learned to prime and paint boards before I even cut them. Then it just takes a few touch ups or one coat when everything is assembled. Soooooo much easier to paint a board than a constructed piece. .

Definitely fills up and fits the space better (as well as adding more storage), than the previous cabinet. Was wondering about the center glassed in shelf; believe you said it was fixed (not an actual door)? Do you then have to slide in items from either side to use? If so, would it be more convenient to remove the glass and make the center open shelving?

i tried milanote because of you and now I use it for writing stories. I make boards for the important characters and for places, like day someone's home, I put inspiration pictures, lists, notes... say if I have a character board I'll put like, inspo pics for hair textures, notes about having written once that they have four freckles above the right corner of their mouth or random shit like that, and it's just all on one app but because you can create boards within boards within boards, each board stays organised enough that I can have an overview. Definitely changed my flow and it's such a no brainer now for me to use it automatically basically for every project. Random af comment that probably doesn't interest you but you're literally the one who made me try it and so I thought I'd share. P.S. I will leave a second comment about the actual cabinet and video because this one is already long and I've heard that leaving multiple comments helps with the algorithm. Hope that is actually helpful and not annoying. xx

Wonderfully, epically awesome❗ 👌 I'd definitely make the center glass piece into a door. You already have horizontal pieces. I'd just add a vertical piece on the 1st and 3rd shelves, either on the left or right side (whatever works best). Then attach the hinges to those vertical pieces. Voila, the top is now fully accessible, and the center shelf is still full width. 👌👍🤩
