For real what kind of parents would want this for their kid ? They have no idea what powers they're gonna end up with, their kid might become full time invisible, or be able to constantly hear other people's thoughts or idk kill people just by their touch, or other extreme powers that will make life difficult for them especially at a young age when it starts manifesting ... Cate's right, all parents that toyed with their kid's life hoping for fame andoney are trash

Starlight's mom, Emma's mom, and the current Polarity(Andre's dad) are examples of why someone would do it. There isn't just the financial aspect of being paid handsomely to allow V to be injected into their kid, but the parents also want to vicariously live through the child. This is especially true if they end up becoming part of the Seven.
