So I'm a licensed cosmetologist and we don't spray a liquid heat protectant on before straightening. Especially not on each section. If you're gonna do each section, make sure it's a heat protectant that's an aerosol spray like the Hot Toddy Mist by Drybar. Works really well, I use it all the time. Using the liquid is what's making the hot tool cook your hair because you're basically wetting your hair with the spray. I would use that before blowdrying instead and that should cover you for the duration of your blowout/heat styling session. Also if you want to do heat styling consistently, I would do like maybe once a month or once every 2 months. It's good to do a check in with your hair and see how it's doing and get it straight to see everything a lot more clearly especially since you have a really good density to your hair. That will make it a lot easier to see things you need to work on.

Oh my goodness!!!! I’ve been looking for instructions on when and how to apply spray heat protectant, wasn’t sure if I had to apply it only before blow drying only or also reapply before flat ironing. I’d googled the heck out of this question but hadn’t found consistent, concrete answers. Thank you!!!!! 🙏🏾

@@vcp365 you are so welcome! Yeah if you wanna be extra safe use the liquid heat protectant while your hair is still damp and blowdry that in. Then use the aerosol heat protectant on your dry hair before you flat iron and use a big toothed comb to distribute it evenly. Then go in with your hot tool and you should be set.

Love the results but always remember: ONE PASS ONLY so you don't add too much heat or damage your Fluff Nugget. The heat resistant glove they included may also help you out while using the product. To extend your press and save your hair consider a roller set or wrapping your hair up at night it will help you get the most out of your press. Enjoy!

I’m sorry but there’s no way my hair will take ONE PASS ONLY. The only way is just to be extra careful and using enough heat protectant. Straightening curly hair is a risk we chose to take I’m not about to do one pass and have my hair look ridiculous just because I’m scared to burn it. It’s either take a risk or don’t 😕 if I think my hair isn’t healthy enough I just won’t do it

I just went natural again...26 years old and this is my 4th time going natural again.
