It's ok, we all have our own struggles and ups and downs. While we do not want to put unnecessary burden on our parents, they are there also to help and assist us, no one does much on their own, give we all depend on each other. So do what you can while also using the available resources which you have, no one can guarantee the success of anything, sometimes we also learn the most from our failures.

Please listen. Although you don't wish to burden your parents with your worries (you think they have enough on their plate) I bet you they would rather you DID share your feelings, than keep them in and become depressed. I say this because you yourself said your family is great. They will want to help you feel better.
