Plus the perks of not having to physically drive and the quality of that bus and service! I wouldn’t say it’s a “budget” option but also worth it if you have a tiny bit of extra cash for a trip

Yes,my mom ride the bus from Dallas to Houston, and she's been riding for a few years. She likes it. One thing about Vonlane; you better be there on time. The bus leaves PROMPTLY at whatever time it's supposed to. Lol!

@Cookie7 Exactly Cookie7. This bus line does not wait a minute. They are on time, and you can not be 2 or 3 minutes late. If you arrive two or three minutes late, the bus is gone. 😊 Every one take care. Blessings.

Wow an actual luxury bus that looks like a nice train cabin with an attendant! Wish I had this option. This bus service could work nicely with city connections from the new private Brightline train opening soon in Orlando for a fully luxury travel experience across the panhandle.

I think this bus line would do well all over Florida. I'm in Orlando and sometimes I just don't feel like driving to Naples/Ft. Myers when I need to.

Yes, Vonlane is first class. Took one from Dallas to Houston. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

I'm SHOCKED at how actually economical this is for what you get, you don't have to worry about having a valid DL, insurance, the liability of driving, wear and tear on your car, paying gas money, you can relax, catch up on work, have internet access, restroom access, food, drinks, snacks... It's very convenient and comfortable and it also seems they try very hard to do their jobs as well as possible. I love this so much, thanks for showing us

I used to drive for a local bus company. We had paratransit, 40 ft & 45 ft buses. The 45 ft buses were MCI Renaissances. The easiest vehicle I've driven, loved 'em.

I remember a decade or so ago when i was in uni. I would take the luxury bus at that time in that area in Asia during breaks and go visit my friends in their city since i was from Africa and couldn't fly back just for two weeks. I used that bus even though i couldn't afford it, to avoid hooligans, smokers etc. Plus it had an armed security guard, AC, snacks. It was awesome and i felt like a VIP. This is a step up from that bus.

I'm so glad I found your comment because booking months in advance for Amtrak is stressful. If you book a week later, you easily pay 100 more than usual.

I want to take it to FL but when I saw the price I was like I might as well fly. I guess I should have checked months ago. I know for next time. I do want to do that cross country train ride on the California Zephyr though.

​@@creativelife9871 HI. I live in Maryland (near Temple Hills)& saw your comment. I take Amtrak to Tampa, FL quite often to see my family. However, I get a roommette because covid is still rampant. Yes, its a long trip, but since its overnight, you sleep the majority of the way. And yes, I pay alot more. But, for my peace of mind, I get a chair that converts into a bed, complimentary breakfast, lunch & dinner, a sink & toilet IN the roommette with me. Only time I have to leave that roommette is when I get on/off the train! Maybe your aunt could get you a discount if she still works for Amtrak. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Just a thought. 😊

This is super nice! I love the interior 🩷 We also have this kind of luxury bus in Indonesia. They has like a big one seaters (bigger than the one shown here), where you can comfortably sleep, and it's super soft and spacious. Another type is called sleeper bus, with like a literal room with bed. I prefer seaters-type though. It cost nearly the same as an executive class train but with snacks, foods, drinks, more space, etc. Notes: these bus do covers long hours ride like from one state / province to the others (12 hrs ride). The downside? Traffic jam or if there's some kind of accident on the highway, so the travel time is a lof longer than train.

This is very similar to how they do it here in Thailand. They have different types of buses for different prices. There is one bus in the Bangkok area that will take you on a tour of 6 different high-end restaurants and wine or other drinks while traveling between stops. Then you have the long haul busses that go from one end of Thailand to the other and they usually run every half hour.

They have a bus like this from the Bay Area to LA but it has beds like a tour bus . Can get coffee (iced/ hot) including all the syrups, champagne, snacks (charcuterie board, variety of chips, variety of trail mix, fresh fruit,etc), energy drinks along with all the regular drinks . Even has 10 seats up front if you choose not to lay down in one of the beds. It was a great experience and relaxing. The biggest thing was a could stretch my legs instead of sitting in one place for a long time . FYI it was a 8 hour road trip and yes you can do round trip .

In 2016 I visited Ghana and buses like this are common. They have wifi, usb and regular plugs, food, snacks and the seats were giant leather lazy boys. It was a pleasant surprise.
